Key Components:

  • Lens: Captures video and still images.
  • 3.0" IPS Screen: Rotatable display for viewing and menu navigation.
  • Power Button: Turns the camcorder on/off.
  • Zoom Lever: Controls digital zoom (W for wide, T for telephoto).
  • Record/Shutter Button: Starts/stops video recording or takes a photo.
  • Mode Button: Switches between video, photo, and playback modes.
  • SD Card Slot: For inserting the memory card.
  • Battery Compartment: Holds the rechargeable battery.

Setup

1. Charging the Batteries

Insert one of the included rechargeable batteries into the camcorder's battery compartment. Connect the camcorder to a power source using the provided Type-C USB cable. The charging indicator light will illuminate. A full charge typically takes several hours. The camcorder comes with two high-capacity batteries, each providing up to 75 minutes of continuous recording at 4K/30FPS when fully charged.

2. Inserting the SD Card

Open the SD card slot cover. Insert the 32GB SD card (included) with the metal contacts facing down until it clicks into place. To remove, press the card gently until it pops out. This camcorder supports SD/SDHC cards up to 256GB (not included).

Formatting the SD Card:

It is highly recommended to format the SD card directly on the camcorder before first use and periodically thereafter to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption. Navigate to the 'Setup Menu' on the camcorder's screen, select 'Format', and confirm.

3. Attaching the External Microphone

Locate the microphone input port on the camcorder. Connect the external microphone's 3.5mm jack firmly into this port. The external microphone significantly improves audio quality compared to the built-in microphone.

4. Powering On/Off

Press and hold the POWER button located on the top of the camcorder to turn it on or off. The 3.0-inch IPS screen will illuminate.

Operating Instructions

1. Basic Video Recording

  1. Ensure the camcorder is in video mode (indicated by an icon on the screen). If not, press the MODE button to switch.
  2. Frame your shot using the rotatable IPS screen.
  3. Press the RECORD/SHUTTER button to start recording. A red indicator will typically appear on the screen.
  4. Press the RECORD/SHUTTER button again to stop recording.

2. Taking Still Photos

  1. Switch to photo mode using the MODE button.
  2. Frame your subject.
  3. Press the RECORD/SHUTTER button to capture a photo.

3. Using the Digital Zoom

The camcorder features an 18X digital zoom. Use the ZOOM LEVER (W/T) to zoom in (T) or zoom out (W) on your subject. Note that digital zoom may reduce image quality at higher magnifications compared to optical zoom.

4. IR Night Vision

To activate infrared night vision for low-light conditions, locate the IR button or setting in the menu. When enabled, the camcorder will record in black and white, utilizing infrared light to capture images in near darkness.

5. Webcam Function

The camcorder can be used as a webcam when connected to a computer. Connect the camcorder to your computer using the Type-C USB cable. Select 'PC Camera' or 'Webcam Mode' on the camcorder's screen if prompted. Your computer should recognize it as a webcam for video calls or live streaming platforms.

6. Pause Function

During video recording, press the RECORD/SHUTTER button briefly to pause recording. Press it again to resume recording within the same file. This allows for seamless recording of multiple segments into a single video file.

7. Playback

Switch to playback mode using the MODE button. Use the navigation buttons (Up/Down/Left/Right) to browse through your recorded videos and photos. Press the OK button to play a selected video or view a photo.

8. Menu Navigation and Settings

Press the MENU button to access the camcorder's settings. Use the navigation buttons to scroll through options and the OK button to select. Settings include video resolution, image quality, white balance, exposure compensation, self-timer, and more.

9. Remote Control Usage

The included remote control allows for convenient operation from a distance. It can be used to start/stop recording, take photos, zoom, and navigate menus without touching the camcorder, reducing camera shake.

Ultra HD 4K Video & 80MP Still Images

This camcorder records video at up to 4K resolution (30FPS) and captures still images at up to 80 megapixels, providing high clarity and detail for your recordings. The video format is MP4, and photo format is JPEG.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Camcorder

  • Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the camcorder body.
  • For the lens, use a specialized lens cleaning cloth and solution. Avoid touching the lens surface with your fingers.
  • Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

Battery Care

  • Store batteries in a cool, dry place when not in use.
  • Avoid fully discharging batteries frequently to prolong their lifespan.
  • If storing for extended periods, charge batteries to about 50% capacity.

SD Card Management

  • Always power off the camcorder before inserting or removing the SD card to prevent data loss.
  • Regularly back up your files to a computer or external storage.
  • Format the SD card periodically using the camcorder's format function.
