1. Important Safety Information

Please read all instructions carefully before using the NexLev Steam Cleaner SC-02. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

  • Hot Steam Hazard: The steam produced by this appliance is extremely hot. Always direct the steam away from yourself, other people, pets, and electrical appliances. Avoid contact with steam to prevent burns.
  • Safety Cap: The appliance is equipped with a safety cap that prevents opening when the unit is pressurized. Never attempt to force open the safety cap while the unit is hot or under pressure. Allow the unit to cool down completely and release any residual pressure before opening.
  • Child Safety Lock: Utilize the child safety lock button to prevent accidental steam release, especially in households with children.
  • Water Usage: Use only distilled or demineralized water to prevent mineral buildup and ensure optimal performance. Never add detergents, perfumes, or other chemicals to the water tank.
  • Electrical Safety: Ensure the power cord is not damaged and is kept away from hot surfaces. Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids. Always unplug the appliance when not in use and before cleaning or maintenance.
  • Dry Heat Protection & Auto-Shut Off: The unit features dry heat protection and an automatic shut-off function to prevent damage if the water tank runs dry.

4. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps for initial setup before operating your steam cleaner:

  1. Open Safety Cap: Rotate the safety cap counter-clockwise to open it.
  2. Fill Water Tank: Using the provided measuring cup and funnel, fill the water tank with up to 350ml of distilled or demineralized water. Do not overfill.
  3. Close Safety Cap: Securely close the safety cap by rotating it clockwise until it is tight.
  4. Attach Accessory: Select the appropriate cleaning accessory for your task and firmly attach it to the nozzle.
  5. Plug In: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet. The indicator light will illuminate.
  6. Heat Up: Allow the unit to heat up. The indicator light will turn off when the steam is ready for use (approximately 30 seconds to 2.5 minutes).

5. Operating Instructions

Once the steam cleaner is ready (indicator light off), you can begin cleaning:

  1. Activate Steam: Press and hold the steam button to release steam. For continuous steam, engage the child safety lock button.
  2. Cleaning Technique: Hold the nozzle close to the surface you wish to clean. Move the steam cleaner slowly over the area to allow the steam to penetrate and loosen dirt.
  3. Wipe Clean: For best results, wipe the steamed surface immediately with a clean cloth to remove loosened dirt and moisture.
  4. Using Accessories: Refer to Section 3 for guidance on which accessory to use for specific tasks. For example, use the round brush for scrubbing stovetops or the glass cleaning brush for windows.
  5. Refilling: If steam production decreases or stops, unplug the unit and allow it to cool down completely before carefully opening the safety cap and refilling the water tank.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your NexLev Steam Cleaner SC-02.

After Each Use:

  • Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down completely before performing any maintenance.
  • Empty Water Tank: Carefully open the safety cap and empty any remaining water from the tank.
  • Clean Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  • Clean Accessories: Rinse all used accessories with water and allow them to air dry before storing.

Descaling (Monthly or as Needed):

Even with distilled water, mineral deposits can accumulate over time. If you notice reduced steam output or unusual noises, descaling may be necessary.

  1. Ensure the unit is unplugged and completely cool.
  2. Mix a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water.
  3. Pour the solution into the water tank, filling it to about half capacity.
  4. Allow the solution to sit in the tank for 30 minutes to an hour. Do NOT heat the unit with vinegar solution.
  5. Empty the vinegar solution and rinse the tank thoroughly with fresh water several times.
  6. Fill the tank with fresh distilled water and operate the unit for a few minutes to flush out any remaining vinegar residue.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your steam cleaner, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
