1. Introduction

2. Safety Instructions

Your safety is paramount. Adhere to the following guidelines to prevent injury and ensure proper operation of the treadmill.

  • Always consult with a healthcare professional before starting any new exercise program.
  • Place the treadmill on a flat, stable surface with adequate clearance around it (at least 2 feet on all sides).
  • Ensure the power cord is not pinched or damaged and is connected to a grounded outlet.
  • Do not allow children or pets near the treadmill while it is in operation.
  • The maximum user weight capacity for this treadmill is 265 pounds (120 kg). Do not exceed this limit.
  • Wear appropriate athletic footwear during use.
  • If you feel faint, dizzy, or experience pain, stop exercising immediately.
  • Unplug the treadmill from the power source when not in use or before cleaning and maintenance.

4. Setup

The Fitvids SFTM treadmill arrives fully assembled, making setup quick and easy. Simply remove it from the packaging and prepare it for use.

4.1 Unfolding and Positioning

The treadmill features a convenient folding design for both storage and operation modes.

  1. Carefully lift the treadmill out of its packaging.
  2. Place the treadmill on a firm, level surface. Ensure there is ample space around the unit for safe operation.
  3. To raise the handrail for jogging mode, lift the handrail until it clicks into place. Ensure the safety pin is securely inserted if applicable (refer to specific product details for pin location).
  4. To lower the handrail for walking (under-desk) mode, release the locking mechanism (usually a pin or lever) and gently lower the handrail until it is flat against the deck.

4.2 Power Connection

Connect the power cord to the treadmill's power input port and then plug it into a standard, grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the power switch (usually located near the power cord input) is in the "ON" position.

5. Operating Instructions

The Fitvids SFTM offers two primary modes of operation: walking (under-desk) and jogging/running.

5.1 Using the Remote Control

The treadmill is primarily controlled via the included remote control. Familiarize yourself with its buttons:

  • Power Button: Turns the treadmill ON/OFF.
  • Speed +/- Buttons: Adjusts the speed of the running belt.
  • Mode Button: (If applicable) Switches between pre-set programs or display modes.

5.2 Walking Mode (Handrail Down)

With the handrail lowered, the treadmill operates as an under-desk walking machine. In this mode, the maximum speed is typically limited to 3.8 MPH (6.1 KM/H) for safety.

  1. Ensure the handrail is fully lowered and secured.
  2. Step onto the treadmill belt.
  3. Press the Power button on the remote control to start the treadmill.
  4. Use the Speed +/- buttons to adjust your desired walking pace.

5.3 Jogging/Running Mode (Handrail Up)

When the handrail is raised and locked into position, the treadmill allows for higher speeds suitable for jogging and light running, up to 7.6 MPH (12.2 KM/H).

  1. Ensure the handrail is fully raised and securely locked.
  2. Step onto the treadmill belt.
  3. Press the Power button on the remote control to start the treadmill.
  4. Use the Speed +/- buttons to adjust your desired jogging or running pace.

5.4 Running Belt Features

The treadmill features a 15.8" x 41.3" (40 cm x 105 cm) large-area rubber running belt designed for comfort and safety.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your treadmill.

6.1 Cleaning

  • Always unplug the treadmill before cleaning.
  • Wipe down the display and exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Periodically vacuum under the treadmill to remove dust and debris.

6.2 Belt Lubrication

The running belt requires periodic lubrication to reduce friction and extend its lifespan. Use the provided lubricating oil or a compatible silicone-based treadmill lubricant.

  1. Unplug the treadmill.
  2. Loosen the rear roller bolts slightly to allow access under the belt (do not remove them).
  3. Apply a thin line of lubricant evenly under the center of the running belt.
  4. Tighten the rear roller bolts to their original tension.
  5. Plug in the treadmill and run it at a low speed (e.g., 1 MPH) for 2-3 minutes to distribute the lubricant.

Frequency of lubrication depends on usage, but generally every 3-6 months for moderate use.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your treadmill, refer to the following common problems and solutions. For persistent issues, contact customer support.
