3.1. Pre-installation Checks
Verify your door dimensions to ensure compatibility:
- Door Thickness: 1-3/8" to 2" (35mm to 50mm)
- Cross Bore: 1-1/2" (38mm) or 2-1/8" (54mm)
- Backset: 2-3/8" (60mm) or 2-3/4" (70mm)
- Minimum Distance (from door edge to cross bore center): 2-3/8" (60mm)

3.2. Install the Latch Bolt
- Insert the latch bolt into the door edge. Ensure the latch bolt face is flush with the door edge and the slotted hole is centered.
- If the slotted hole is not centered, rotate and pull the latch bolt to extend it to the correct backset (60mm or 70mm).
- If your door's bore hole is 1-1/2" (38mm), you may need to use a 1" (25mm) drill bit to extend the latch bolt hole at least 13/64" (5mm) deep.
- Secure the latch bolt with the provided screws. If your door edge is not chiseled, you may need to chisel the door edge to fit the latch bolt flush before screwing it in.
3.3. Check Smooth Rotation
After installing the latch bolt, check its smooth rotation using a #2 Phillips Screwdriver. Insert the screwdriver into the latch bolt's cam and rotate it. If the cam is obstructed, carefully chisel out a small channel at the top to allow for its full rotation.
3.4. Install the Exterior Assembly
- Ensure the latch bolt is fully retracted (unlocked position). Do not insert the mechanical key during installation.
- Measure the diameter of the hole in the door. If it's 1-1/2" (38mm), remove the spacer from the exterior assembly with a screwdriver.
- Route the cable beneath the latch bolt. Insert the tailpiece through the slot in the latch bolt.
- Route the cable through the hole in the mounting plate. Secure the mounting plate with screws. Do not overtighten.
- Adjust the exterior assembly and mounting plate to be parallel to the door edge.
3.5. Install the Interior Assembly
- Remove the battery cover from the interior assembly by sliding it upwards.
- Insert the cable connector to the socket on the interior assembly until it is completely attached.
- Ensure the tailpiece is horizontal and the thumb turn is vertical.
- If the cable is too long, put it into the cable slot and the door hole to prevent pinching.
- Attach the interior assembly to the mounting plate. Secure it with 3 interior assembly screws.
3.6. Activate the Lock
- Install 8 AA batteries according to the direction guide inside the battery holder. Press the ribbon under the inner batteries for easy removal later.
- Keep the door open and unlocked.
- Press and hold the Reset Button for 5 seconds. Keep holding until you hear a long beep and the latch bolt extends automatically.
- Push the battery cover back onto the interior assembly.
