Setup

1. Charging the Battery

Your walkie talkies come with a built-in 1200mAh Li-ion battery. Before first use, fully charge the battery.

  • Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the charging port on the walkie talkie.
  • Connect the other end of the cable to a USB power source (e.g., AC adapter, power bank, car charger).
  • The battery indicator on the LCD display will show charging status. A full charge typically takes several hours.
  • Once fully charged, disconnect the cable.

2. Attaching the Belt Clip

To easily carry your walkie talkie, attach the included belt clip:

  • Align the belt clip with the grooves on the back of the walkie talkie.
  • Slide the clip downwards until it clicks securely into place.

3. Powering On/Off

  • To turn ON: Press and hold the Power Button until the LCD screen illuminates.
  • To turn OFF: Press and hold the Power Button until the LCD screen turns off.

Operating Instructions

1. Channel Selection

Your walkie talkies support 22 FRS channels. To communicate, all radios must be on the same channel.

  • Press the Menu/Lock Button once to enter channel selection mode. The channel number will flash on the LCD.
  • Use the Up or Down Buttons to select your desired channel (1-22).
  • Press the Menu/Lock Button again to confirm the selection or wait a few seconds for it to auto-confirm.

2. Push-to-Talk (PTT)

  • To transmit: Press and hold the PTT Button on the side of the walkie talkie. Speak clearly into the microphone.
  • To receive: Release the PTT Button. The radio will automatically switch to receive mode.

3. VOX (Voice Operated Exchange)

The VOX function allows for hands-free communication. When activated, the radio will automatically transmit when it detects your voice.

  • Press the Menu/Lock Button multiple times until "VOX" appears on the LCD.
  • Use the Up or Down Buttons to select the VOX sensitivity level (e.g., 1-3, with 3 being most sensitive). "OF" disables VOX.
  • Press the Menu/Lock Button to confirm.

4. Call Tone Alerts

Send a distinct call tone to alert other users on the same channel.

  • Press the Call/Ring Button once to send a call tone.
  • You can select from 10 different call tones via the menu.

5. Keypad Lock

To prevent accidental button presses, you can lock the keypad.

  • To lock: Press and hold the Menu/Lock Button until the lock icon appears on the LCD.
  • To unlock: Press and hold the Menu/Lock Button again until the lock icon disappears.

6. Built-in Flashlight

The walkie talkie includes a built-in LED flashlight for use in low-light conditions.

  • To turn ON/OFF: Refer to the specific button combination for flashlight activation (often a quick double-press of the power button or a dedicated button, if available and not explicitly labeled in the diagram, assume it's a menu option or combined function).

7. Privacy Codes (CTCSS/DCS)

Your walkie talkies support 99 privacy codes (CTCSS/DCS) to help reduce interference from other users on the same channel. For private communication, all radios must be on the same channel AND the same privacy code.

  • Press the Menu/Lock Button multiple times until the privacy code setting appears (e.g., "CTCSS" or "DCS").
  • Use the Up or Down Buttons to select your desired privacy code (01-99). "00" or "OF" disables the privacy code.
  • Press the Menu/Lock Button to confirm.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the walkie talkie with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Recharge when the battery indicator is low. If storing for extended periods, charge the battery to about 50% and recharge every 3-6 months.
  • Storage: Store the walkie talkie in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
