4.3 Wiring Connections

4.4 Initial Configuration

The flight controller comes pre-installed with Betaflight 4.4.2, and the ESC with BLHeli-S. For initial setup and advanced tuning, utilize the SpeedyBee App via Bluetooth.

5. Operation

5.1 Wireless Tuning with SpeedyBee App

Connect your mobile device to the SpeedyBee F405 Mini Stack via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) using the SpeedyBee App. This allows for wireless adjustment of PID settings, OSD configurations, UART settings, and ESC parameters without needing a PC or USB cable.

5.2 Motor Direction Reversal

The SpeedyBee App allows for remote reversal of motor directions. In the app, navigate to Motors > Motor Direction Settings. Tap on the motor you wish to test, and it will spin at a low speed. Use the 'Modify Direction' button to change its rotation as needed.

5.3 Battery Level Indicator

The flight controller features an integrated 4-level battery indicator. Upon connecting the battery, the LEDs will illuminate to show the current charge level:

• CPU Overload: If using a 4K PID loop and Dshot 300 with the F405 processor, you might encounter a CPU overload message on your OSD. Consider adjusting PID loop frequency or Dshot protocol to optimize performance.
• Small Solder Pads: The solder pads on this unit are small. It is recommended to practice soldering on the included practice board before making final connections to the stack.
