3. Setup

3.1. Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
  2. Slide the cover downwards or press the latch (if present) to open the compartment.
  3. Insert two (2) AA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover until it clicks securely into place.

3.2. Pairing with Your LG Smart TV

The LG Smart Magic Remote typically pairs automatically with compatible LG Smart TVs. If automatic pairing does not occur, or if you are pairing with a new TV, follow these steps:

  1. Turn on your LG Smart TV.
  2. Point the Magic Remote at your TV.
  3. Press the Wheel (OK) button. The remote should register with the TV. A message confirming successful pairing may appear on the screen.
  4. If pairing fails, try pressing and holding the Home and Back buttons simultaneously for about 5 seconds to unpair, then repeat steps 2 and 3 to re-pair.
