2. Product Overview

3. Setup
3.1 Package Contents
Before use, please verify that all items are present in the package:

3.2 Initial Charging
It is recommended to fully charge the radio before first use. Connect the provided Type-C USB cable to the radio's Type-C input port and plug the other end into a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port. The charging indicator will illuminate. Once fully charged, the indicator may change color or turn off, depending on the model.
The radio features an 8000mAh Lithium-ion battery. This battery is rechargeable and replaceable. Refer to the Maintenance section for battery replacement instructions.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Radio Operation (AM/FM/WB)
- Power On: Rotate the 'Volume/Power' knob clockwise to turn on the radio.
- Select Band: Use the 'Band Selector' switch to choose between FM, AM, or WB (Weather Band).
- Tune Station: Extend the telescopic antenna for better reception. Rotate the 'Tuning' knob to scan for stations. The tuning indicator light will illuminate when a strong signal is received.
- Weather Band (WB): The WB function provides access to NOAA weather alerts in the U.S. region only.

4.2 Bluetooth Speaker
- Activate Bluetooth: Switch the 'Band Selector' to 'BT' mode. The radio will enter pairing mode, indicated by a flashing Bluetooth indicator light.
- Pair Device: On your mobile device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices. Select 'JL-605FD' from the list.
- Play Audio: Once paired, you can play audio from your device through the radio's speaker.

4.3 LED Flashlight
The radio is equipped with a powerful LED flashlight. To operate:
- Turn On/Off: Press the 'Flashlight' button once to turn on the flashlight. Press again to cycle through modes or turn off.
- Modes: The flashlight offers three modes: Low Light, High Light, and SOS Flashing.

4.4 Foldable Reading Lamp
The integrated reading lamp provides soft illumination for various tasks.
- Deploy Lamp: Gently lift and unfold the reading lamp panel from the top of the radio. It is 180° adjustable.
- Turn On/Off: Press the 'Reading Lamp' button to turn it on.
- Adjust Brightness: Press the 'Reading Lamp' button repeatedly to cycle through three brightness levels.

4.5 Charging Methods
The radio offers multiple ways to charge its internal battery and to charge external devices.
- Type-C USB Charging (Input): Connect the provided Type-C cable to the radio's input port and a USB power source. This is the primary method for fast charging.
- Solar Charging: Place the radio with the solar panel facing direct sunlight. This method is ideal for maintaining battery charge or for emergency charging when other power sources are unavailable. Charging efficiency depends on sunlight intensity.
- Hand Crank Charging: Extend the hand crank handle and rotate it clockwise or counter-clockwise at a steady pace (approximately 130-150 RPM). This method provides emergency power when no other charging options are available.
- USB Output Charging (Power Bank Function): Connect your external device (e.g., smartphone) to the radio's USB output port using its charging cable. The radio's internal 8000mAh battery can act as a power bank to charge other devices.

4.6 SOS Alarm
In an emergency, you can activate the SOS alarm to attract attention.
- Activate: Press and hold the 'SOS' button. The radio will emit a loud siren sound and flash the flashlight.
- Deactivate: Press the 'SOS' button again to turn off the alarm.
5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use the provided cleaning cloth or a soft, dry cloth to wipe the radio's surface. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the radio in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for extended periods, charge the battery every 3-6 months to maintain its health.
