5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Charging Options
Your ERYY LiFePO4 battery offers three primary charging methods:
- LiFePO4 Charger: Use a dedicated LiFePO4 charger with a charging current of ≤10A. This typically fully charges the battery in 2-4 hours. Ensure the charging temperature is between 0°C-45°C (32°F-113°F) and the voltage is 14.2V±0.2V for optimal safety.
- Solar Panel + MPPT Controller: For off-grid applications, pair your battery with a solar panel and an MPPT controller that is compatible with LiFePO4 batteries.
- Generator + LiFePO4 Charger: A generator can be used in conjunction with a LiFePO4 charger. The maximum charging/discharge current should not exceed 30A.
Important: Never use lead-acid chargers with your LiFePO4 battery.

5.2. LCD Voltmeter Usage
The built-in LCD voltmeter provides real-time status of your battery's charge level:
- Recharge Indication: Recharge the battery when only 2 bars remain on the display, indicating approximately 20%-30% capacity.
- Preventing Drain: Unplug the battery from devices when not in use to prevent unnecessary power drain.

6. Maintenance
6.1. Storage Guidelines
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your battery during storage:
- Maintain a charge level of 3-4 bars (40%-60% capacity).
- Perform a float charge for 1 hour monthly.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your ERYY LiFePO4 battery, consider the following common troubleshooting steps:
- No Power/Low Voltage: Ensure the battery is adequately charged. Check all connections for tightness and corrosion. Verify that the charging method is appropriate for LiFePO4 batteries.
- Charging Issues: Confirm you are using a dedicated LiFePO4 charger. Check the charger's output voltage and current. Ensure charging is within the recommended temperature range (0°C-45°C).
- Overload Protection: If the battery suddenly stops providing power, the BMS may have activated due to an overload or short circuit. Disconnect the load, wait a few minutes, and then reconnect. Reduce the load if the issue persists.
- Temperature Extremes: Avoid operating or charging the battery outside its specified temperature ranges (-20°C to 60°C for discharge, 0°C to 45°C for charge). Extreme temperatures can trigger BMS protection.
- Series/Parallel Connection Problems: If using multiple batteries, ensure they are identical in capacity, voltage, BMS, and brand. Confirm all batteries were fully charged to ~13.4V before connection. Check all wiring for correct polarity and secure connections.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, please contact ERYY customer support for further assistance.
