6. Maintenance
LiFePO4 batteries require minimal maintenance compared to lead-acid batteries. However, following these guidelines will help ensure maximum lifespan and performance:
- Regular Inspection: Periodically check battery terminals for corrosion or loose connections. Clean as necessary.
- Charge Level: Avoid prolonged storage at extremely low or high states of charge. For long-term storage, charge the battery to approximately 50% capacity.
- Temperature Control: Ensure the battery operates within its specified temperature range. The integrated BMS will protect against extreme temperatures.
- Cleaning: Keep the battery case clean and free from dust and debris. Use a dry cloth for cleaning.
- BMS Protection: The advanced BMS handles voltage self-balance, high/low temperature protection, short circuit protection, over-discharge protection, overcharge protection, and over-current protection, eliminating the need for manual balancing or complex maintenance routines.

Figure 6.1: The battery features three layers of protection: a sturdy metal case, robust metal fixtures, and a comprehensive 200A Battery Management System.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your DC HOUSE LiFePO4 battery, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
- Battery Not Powering On:
- Ensure the one-button switch is pressed to the 'ON' position.
- Check all cable connections for tightness and correct polarity.
- Verify the battery's state of charge using the smart display or app. If critically low, attempt to charge.
- No Display/App Data:
- For the smart display, ensure the communication cable is securely connected to both the battery's UART port and the display.
- For the app, ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and the battery is paired. Restart the app and try reconnecting.
- Battery Not Charging:
- Check the charger connection and ensure the charger is functioning correctly.
- Verify the ambient temperature is within the charging range (0~55℃). The BMS will prevent charging below 0℃.
- Check for any error codes or warnings on the smart display or app.
- Battery Not Discharging (No Power Output):
- Ensure the battery is powered on.
- Check for any over-current or short-circuit protection activation (the BMS will temporarily cut off output). Over-current protection typically auto-resets after 32 seconds.
- Verify the ambient temperature is within the discharging range (-20~55℃). The BMS will prevent discharging below -20℃.
- Check the battery's state of charge; it may have reached its low voltage cut-off.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, please contact DC HOUSE customer support for further assistance.
