3.1 Front View & Controls

The RD239 radio supports two types of batteries: a BL-5C lithium battery (included) or 3 AA batteries (not included).
- For BL-5C Lithium Battery: Open the battery compartment cover on the rear. Insert the BL-5C battery, paying attention to the correct polarity (+/-) and inserting the electrode end first.
- For AA Batteries: Open the battery compartment cover. Insert 3 x 1.5V AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. If the radio shows no power, remove and reinsert the batteries to prevent leakage.
4.2 Charging the Battery

Connect the provided USB Type-C charging cable to the radio's Type-C port and to a compatible USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, computer USB port). The charging indicator on the display will show charging status.
4.3 Antenna Setup

5.4 Digital Recording
