Setup and Installation
Professional Installation Required: As noted in the safety information, installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC professional. The following steps provide a general overview for informational purposes only.
1. Indoor Unit Installation
- Mounting Plate: Securely attach the mounting plate to a hard, flat, and firm wall to prevent vibration. Ensure adequate clearance from the ceiling (greater than 15cm), obstacles (greater than 20cm), and floor (230-260cm).
- Drill Wall Hole: Drill a wall hole for refrigerant piping, communication wire, and drain hose. The hole should be inclined slightly downward (5-10 degrees) and have a diameter of 60-80mm. Avoid wires, plumbing, and gas lines.
- Connection Cable: Pass the power cable from the indoor unit's back to the terminal board and fix it with a clamp.
- Refrigerant Piping: Connect the copper connection pipes to the indoor unit. Tighten the taper nuts with fingers first, then use two wrenches to secure them. Refer to the torque specifications provided in the manual for correct tightening.
- Drain Hose: Connect the drain hose to the water outlet pipe, ensuring it is fixed firmly and sloped downward to prevent water accumulation.
- Wrap Piping: Wrap refrigerant piping, wires, and drain pipe together with wrapping tape.
- Mount Indoor Unit: Carefully pass the wrapped piping through the wall hole. Hang the indoor unit onto the mounting plate, ensuring it clicks into place.
- Seal Wall Hole: Use the provided pipe protecting ring and putty to seal the wall hole, preventing air and moisture ingress.

2. Outdoor Unit Installation
- Mounting Bracket: Install the outdoor unit mounting bracket on a firm, flat surface. Ensure at least 6 expansion bolts are used for secure fixation. Maintain specified clearances: >20cm to top obstruction, >30cm to side obstructions, >10cm air in side, >200cm air out side.
- Fix Outdoor Unit: Place the outdoor unit onto the brackets and fix its feet with 4 screws.
- Connect Refrigerant Piping: Connect the copper pipes to the outdoor unit's stop valves. Tighten the taper nuts with fingers, then use two wrenches to achieve the specified torque.
- Electrical Connections: Remove the electrical box cover. Connect the cables to the terminal board according to the wiring diagram provided inside the box cover. Use clamps to fix the cables securely.
- Vacuumizing: Before releasing refrigerant, vacuumize the system. Connect a vacuum pump and manifold gauge set to the stop valves. Fully open the manifold valve handle (Lo) and apply vacuum for at least 15 minutes until the pressure gauge reads -0.1MPa (-76cmHg). Maintain pressure for 3-5 minutes after vacuumizing to check for springback (pressure should be ≤0.05MPa).
- Release Refrigerant: Fully open all liquid and gas valves using a hex wrench. Screw all caps back on and tighten them.
