1. Introduction

The Geevon Wireless Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer & Hygrometer provides accurate temperature and humidity readings for both indoor and outdoor environments. This device features a large, easy-to-read display, wireless transmission from a remote sensor, and additional functions such as a clock and alarm. It is designed for monitoring environmental conditions in various locations, including homes, offices, gardens, and greenhouses.

2. Package Contents

Please check the package contents upon unboxing to ensure all items are present:

  • 1 x Geevon Main Display Unit (Thermometer & Hygrometer)
  • 1 x Wireless Remote Sensor
  • 1 x User Manual

Note: 2 AA batteries are required for the main unit and 2 AAA batteries for the remote sensor. Batteries are not included in the package.

3. Product Features

  • Wireless Transmission: Up to 200ft/60m range in open areas, supporting connection with up to 3 remote sensors (only 1 sensor included).
  • Large LCD Screen: 3.8-inch backlit display for clear readings in bright or dim environments. Backlight stays on for 10 seconds.
  • Max/Min Data & Trend Display: Automatically records maximum and minimum temperature/humidity readings over the past 24 hours with trend arrows.
  • Temperature Unit Switching: Easily switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F).
  • Multi-Function Display: Includes 12/24H clock, snooze alarm, and calendar.
  • Flexible Placement: Designed for tabletop stand or wall mounting.

4. Setup Guide

4.1 Battery Installation

  1. Main Display Unit: Open the battery compartment on the back of the main unit. Insert 2 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment.
  2. Wireless Remote Sensor: Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote sensor. Insert 2 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment.

4.2 Sensor Pairing and Channel Selection

After installing batteries, the main unit will automatically search for the remote sensor signal. Ensure the remote sensor is within range.

  • The main unit supports up to 3 remote sensors. To cycle through channels (CH1, CH2, CH3) or to connect to a specific sensor, short press the "Signal" button on the back of the main unit.
  • To force a connection to the current channel's sensor, long press the "Signal" button.

4.3 Initial Time and Date Setting

  1. Press and hold the "Set" button on the back of the main unit to enter time setting mode.
  2. The hour digit will flash. Use the "UP" or "DOWN" buttons to adjust the hour.
  3. Press "Set" again to confirm and move to the next setting (minute, 12/24H format, year, month, day).
  4. Repeat step 2 and 3 until all settings are configured.
  5. Press "Set" one last time to exit the setting mode.

4.4 Placement Options

The main display unit and remote sensor offer flexible placement options:

  • Main Unit: Can be placed on a tabletop using its integrated stand or mounted on a wall using the hanging hole on the back.
  • Remote Sensor: Can be placed on a flat surface or mounted on a wall. For outdoor use, place the sensor in a shaded, dry location away from direct sunlight and precipitation to ensure accurate readings and prolong battery life.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Display Backlight

Short press the "SNZ/LIGHT" button on the top of the main unit to activate the backlight for 10 seconds. This feature is useful for viewing readings in low-light conditions.

5.2 Switching Temperature Units (°C/°F)

Short press the "UP" button on the back of the main unit to toggle between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) temperature display.

5.3 Viewing Max/Min Records

Short press the "DOWN" button on the back of the main unit to view the maximum and minimum temperature and humidity records for the past 24 hours. Press again to cycle through Max, Min, and current readings.

To clear the recorded Max/Min values, long press the "DOWN" button for 3 seconds.

5.4 Setting the Alarm

  1. Press the "Set" button once to enter alarm setting mode. The alarm hour will flash.
  2. Use the "UP" or "DOWN" buttons to adjust the alarm hour.
  3. Press "Set" again to confirm and move to the alarm minute setting.
  4. Use the "UP" or "DOWN" buttons to adjust the alarm minute.
  5. Press "Set" one last time to exit alarm setting mode.

To turn the alarm ON or OFF, short press the "Alarm" button on the back of the main unit.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the display unit and sensor with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the units in water.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries in both the main unit and remote sensor when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Always replace all batteries at the same time with new ones of the same type.
  • Storage: If storing the device for an extended period, remove all batteries to prevent leakage and damage.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Short press the "SNZ/LIGHT" button to activate backlight.
Time/Date needs frequent resetting.
