4. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for safe and effective deep frying:

  1. Power On: Flip the power switch to the 'ON' position. The red 'POWER' indicator light will illuminate.
  2. Set Temperature: Turn the temperature control dial to your desired frying temperature. The fryer offers preset temperatures of 300°F, 340°F, and 375°F. Refer to the quick reference guide on the fryer's front panel for recommended temperatures and times for various foods (e.g., fries, chicken, fish).
  3. Preheat Oil: Allow the oil to preheat. The green 'READY' indicator light will illuminate when the oil has reached the set temperature.
  4. Load Food: Carefully place food into the frying basket. Do not overload the basket, as this can lower oil temperature and result in soggy food.
  5. Lower Basket: Using the folding handle, slowly lower the basket into the hot oil. Ensure the basket is securely locked into place to prevent accidental spills.
  6. Close Lid: Close the lid to minimize splattering and contain odors. The viewing window allows you to monitor cooking progress.
  7. Fry: Fry for the recommended time or until food is golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Remove Food: Once cooking is complete, use the folding handle to raise the basket. Allow excess oil to drain back into the pot.
  9. Serve: Carefully transfer the fried food to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any remaining oil.
  10. Power Off: Turn the power switch to the 'OFF' position and unplug the fryer from the outlet.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Fryer does not turn on: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into both the fryer and a working electrical outlet. Check if the power switch is in the 'ON' position.
  • Oil is not heating: Verify that the temperature control dial is set to a desired temperature and the 'POWER' light is on. Wait for the 'READY' light to illuminate, indicating the oil has reached temperature.
  • Food is not crispy: Ensure the oil has reached the correct temperature before adding food. Do not overload the basket; fry in smaller batches if necessary. Ensure food is dry before frying.
  • Excessive smoke: This may indicate the oil is too old or the temperature is too high. Replace old oil and ensure the temperature setting is appropriate for the food being fried.
  • Oil splattering: Ensure the lid is closed during frying. Make sure food is dry before placing it in the hot oil.
