5. Setup and Installation

The MYHXQ Solar Porch Lights are designed for straightforward installation without complex wiring. The unit comes pre-assembled.

5.1 Initial Charging

  1. Before first use, ensure the light's switch is in the 'ON' position.
  2. Place the solar light in a location where the solar panel receives at least 10 hours of direct sunlight. This initial charge is crucial for optimal performance.
  3. Avoid obstructing the solar panel with shadows from trees, buildings, or other objects, as this will affect charging efficiency.

    • Maintains 100% brightness throughout the night (when ambient brightness is <20 LUX).
    • Automatically turns off at dawn (when ambient brightness is >100 LUX) and returns to auto mode.

7. Maintenance

To ensure the optimal performance and longevity of your MYHXQ Solar Porch Lights, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Regularly wipe the solar panel and glass panes with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, and debris. A clean solar panel ensures efficient charging.
  • Bulb Replacement: As mentioned in Section 5.3, the E26 bulb can be easily replaced if needed. Use only 5V Low Voltage E26 bulbs.
  • Environmental Factors: While weather-resistant, extreme conditions like heavy snow accumulation on the solar panel may temporarily reduce charging efficiency. Clear snow or ice as needed.
  • Battery: The internal batteries are designed for long-term use. If you notice a significant decrease in performance over time, ensure the solar panel is clean and receiving adequate sunlight. The AAA batteries included are likely for the sensor/control unit and generally have a long lifespan.
