Maintenance
Water Resistance
The GD-010BBR-1 is water resistant to 20 BAR (200 meters). This means it is suitable for showering, swimming, and diving. Do not operate buttons while the watch is wet or submerged to prevent water ingress.
Cleaning
Wipe the watch with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a mild soap solution and a soft brush, then rinse thoroughly with fresh water and dry completely. Avoid using chemical cleaners or solvents.
Battery Replacement
The watch uses 1 LR44 battery. When the display dims or functions become erratic, it may be time for a battery replacement. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by an authorized Casio service center to ensure proper sealing and water resistance.
Troubleshooting
- Display is blank or dim: Check battery level. Replace battery if necessary. Ensure watch is not exposed to extreme temperatures.
- Buttons are unresponsive: Ensure the watch is not in a locked mode (if applicable). If wet, dry thoroughly. If issue persists, a service check may be required.
- Time is incorrect: Re-adjust time settings as per the "Initial Time Setting" section. Check for DST settings.
- Water inside display: Immediately cease use and take the watch to an authorized service center. This indicates a breach in water resistance.
