- Keep Area Clear: Ensure the mowing area is clear of stones, sticks, wires, and other debris that could be thrown by the blade. Keep bystanders, children, and pets at a safe distance.
- Wear Appropriate Attire: Always wear safety glasses, long pants, and sturdy, non-slip footwear. Avoid loose clothing or jewelry that could get caught in moving parts.
- Battery Safety: Use only MZK specified battery packs and chargers. Do not charge batteries in damp or wet locations. Do not incinerate battery packs.
- Blade Safety: Never place hands or feet near the rotating blade. Disconnect the battery pack before cleaning, servicing, or removing material from the mower.
- Avoid Wet Grass: Do not operate the mower in wet grass. This can cause slipping and reduce cutting efficiency.
- Maintain Control: Always maintain a firm grip on the handle. Walk, do not run, while operating the mower.
- Slope Operation: Mow across the face of slopes, never up and down. Exercise extreme caution when changing direction on slopes.
Setup and Assembly
Your MZK 40V Cordless Electric Lawn Mower requires some assembly before first use. Follow these steps carefully:
- Handle Assembly: Attach the upper handle to the lower handle, ensuring all locking mechanisms are securely fastened. Connect the control cables as instructed in the included quick start guide.
- Grass Catcher Attachment: Assemble the grass catcher bag and attach it to the rear discharge opening of the mower. Ensure it is securely hooked to prevent grass clippings from escaping.
- Battery Installation: Open the battery compartment cover. Insert two fully charged 20V MZK batteries into their respective slots until they click into place. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Operating Instructions
1. Adjusting Cutting Height
The MZK lawn mower offers 4 adjustable cutting heights to suit various grass conditions and desired lawn lengths. The height can be set between 1.5 inches (3.81 cm) and 2.8 inches (7.11 cm).
- Ensure the mower is turned off and the battery pack is removed for safety.
- Locate the height adjustment lever on the side of the mower deck.
- Pull the lever outwards and move it to the desired position. Release the lever to lock it into place.

2. Starting the Mower
The mower features a two-step activation process for safe startup:
- Ensure the battery packs are fully charged and correctly installed.
- Press and hold the safety button located on the handle.
- While holding the safety button, pull the bail switch lever towards the handle. The motor will start.
- Release the safety button once the motor is running. To stop the mower, release the bail switch lever.
3. Mowing Techniques
For best results, mow in overlapping rows. Avoid cutting more than one-third of the grass blade length at a time. The 13-inch cutting deck and powerful brushless motor ensure efficient operation.

4. Grass Catcher
The mower is equipped with a 25-liter grass catcher. Monitor the fill level and empty the bag when full to maintain optimal cutting performance and prevent clogging.

- Blade Inspection: Regularly inspect the 13-inch high-strength steel blade for sharpness and damage. A dull or damaged blade can lead to poor cutting quality and increased motor strain. Replace or sharpen as needed.
- Cleaning: After each use, clean the mower deck and grass catcher. Remove any accumulated grass clippings, dirt, or debris. Do not use water directly on electrical components.
- Battery Care: Store battery packs in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Charge batteries fully before storage and periodically during long storage periods.
