Setup
1. Battery Installation (Battery and Charger Not Included)
This paint gun operates with an 18V battery (compatible with 2.0 Ah capacity, not included).
- Ensure the paint gun is turned off.
- Align the compatible 18V battery with the battery slot at the base of the handle.
- Slide the battery into place until it clicks securely.
- To remove, press the battery release button (if present) and slide the battery out.
2. Nozzle Selection
The DALPG18-1 includes three interchangeable nozzles: 1.5 mm, 1.8 mm, and 2.2 mm. Choose the appropriate nozzle based on the material you are spraying and the desired finish.
- 1.5 mm: Ideal for thinner materials and fine finishes.
- 1.8 mm: Suitable for general purpose paints and medium viscosity materials.
- 2.2 mm: Best for thicker paints and achieving faster coverage.
- Unscrew the nozzle cap from the front of the spray gun.
- Insert the desired nozzle into the nozzle housing.
- Screw the nozzle cap back on securely.
3. Paint Preparation and Dilution
Proper paint viscosity is crucial for optimal spray performance and finish quality. Always follow the paint manufacturer's recommendations for dilution.

- Use a viscosity cup (not included) to measure the paint's thickness.
- Dilute the paint gradually with the recommended thinner (water for water-based paints, mineral spirits for oil-based paints) until it reaches the desired viscosity.
- Stir the paint thoroughly after each addition of thinner.
- Note: Avoid over-diluting to ensure proper adhesion and durability of the paint.
4. Filling the Reservoir
- Unscrew the paint container from the spray gun body.
- Pour the prepared paint into the container. Do not overfill; leave some space for air. The container has a 1000 ml capacity.
- Screw the paint container back onto the spray gun body securely.
Operating Instructions
1. Adjusting Spray Pattern and Flow
The DALPG18-1 allows for adjustment of both spray pattern and material flow.
- Spray Pattern Adjustment: Rotate the air cap to select horizontal, vertical, or circular spray patterns.

- Material Flow Adjustment: Use the flow control knob (usually located at the rear of the trigger) to increase or decrease the amount of paint sprayed. Start with a lower setting and gradually increase until the desired coverage is achieved.
2. Painting Technique
For best results, maintain a consistent distance and speed while spraying.

- Hold the spray gun perpendicular to the surface, approximately 6-12 inches (15-30 cm) away.
- Move the gun in smooth, even strokes, overlapping each pass by about 50%.
- Release the trigger at the end of each stroke to avoid paint buildup.
- Apply multiple thin coats rather than one thick coat to prevent drips and ensure a smooth finish.
Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your paint gun and ensure consistent performance.
1. Cleaning After Use

- Empty any remaining paint from the container.
- Pour a small amount of appropriate cleaning solution (water for water-based paints, mineral spirits for oil-based paints) into the container.
- Spray the cleaning solution through the gun until it runs clear.
- Disassemble the nozzle, air cap, and paint container.
- Clean all components thoroughly with the cleaning solution and a brush. Pay special attention to the nozzle and air cap to remove any dried paint. Use a cleaning needle for small orifices.
- Rinse all parts with clean water and allow them to dry completely before reassembly.
2. Storage
Store the paint gun in a clean, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure all components are clean and dry before storage.
