Safety Information

Your safety and the safety of others are paramount. Always follow these safety guidelines:

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Always wear appropriate PPE, including safety goggles, ear protection, gloves, long pants, and sturdy, non-slip footwear. A safety helmet with a face shield is recommended, especially when using the brush cutter or pole saw.
  • Fuel Handling: Handle gasoline with extreme care. Store fuel in approved containers in a well-ventilated area, away from ignition sources. Never refuel while the engine is running or hot.
  • Work Area: Ensure the work area is clear of bystanders, children, and pets. Clear debris and obstacles before starting work.
  • Inspection: Before each use, inspect the tool for loose parts, damaged components, or fuel leaks. Do not operate if any damage is found.
  • Engine Operation: Operate the engine in a well-ventilated outdoor area to avoid carbon monoxide poisoning.
  • Blade Safety: Keep hands and feet away from cutting attachments. Blades remain sharp and can cause severe injury.
  • Stability: Maintain proper footing and balance at all times. Do not overreach.
  • Storage: Store the tool in a dry, secure place, out of reach of children. Allow the engine to cool completely before storing.

  1. Engine Unit Connection: Securely attach the control rod to the 52CC engine unit. Ensure all fasteners are tightened.
  2. Extension Pole: If additional reach is required, connect the extension rod between the control rod and the desired attachment. Ensure the connection is firm and locked into place.
  3. Attaching Tools:
    • String Trimmer/Edger: Attach the grass trimmer pole with the plastic mowing head and nylon line spool.
    • Brush Cutter: Attach the brush cutter pole. Select and securely mount either the 3-tooth blade or the 40-tooth blade, ensuring it is correctly oriented and tightened.
    • Hedge Trimmer: Attach the hedge trimmer pole. Ensure the blade guard is removed only when ready to operate.
    • Pole Saw: Attach the chainsaw pole. Ensure the chain is properly tensioned and lubricated.
  4. Handle Adjustment: Adjust the ergonomic handle to a comfortable and secure position for optimal control and reduced fatigue during operation.

Fueling and Starting the Engine

This tool is powered by a 2-stroke gasoline engine. Proper fuel mixture is critical for engine performance and longevity.

  1. Fuel Mixture: Mix unleaded gasoline with high-quality 2-stroke engine oil at the ratio specified by the engine manufacturer (typically 25:1 or 50:1, refer to engine label if present). Use the provided oil jug for accurate measurement.
  2. Refueling:
    • Ensure the engine is off and cool before refueling.
    • Move to a well-ventilated outdoor area.
    • Carefully pour the mixed fuel into the fuel tank using the provided funnel. Do not overfill.
    • Securely replace the fuel cap.
  3. Starting Procedure:
    • Place the tool on a flat, stable surface.
    • Set the choke lever to the "START" or "CHOKE" position.
    • Press the primer bulb several times until fuel is visible.
    • Pull the starter cord firmly and smoothly until the engine briefly fires.
    • Once the engine fires, move the choke lever to the "RUN" position.
    • Pull the starter cord again until the engine starts and runs smoothly.
    • Allow the engine to warm up for a few moments before engaging the throttle.

String Trimmer / Edger

  • Use for trimming grass and light weeds around obstacles, fences, and garden beds.
  • For edging, hold the trimmer at an angle to create a clean line along sidewalks or driveways.
  • The nylon line spool features a bump feed mechanism for extending the line.

Brush Cutter

  • Ideal for cutting thick brush, dense weeds, and small saplings.
  • Use the 3-tooth blade for general brush and the 40-tooth blade for tougher, woody growth.
  • Always maintain a safe distance from the blade and be aware of kickback.

Hedge Trimmer

  • Designed for shaping and trimming hedges and shrubs.
  • Ensure the area is clear of electrical wires or other obstructions before cutting.
  • Cut in smooth, sweeping motions.

Pole Saw

  • Use for pruning high branches that are otherwise out of reach.
  • Ensure the chain is properly lubricated before and during use.
  • Be aware of falling branches and maintain a safe distance.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your HEVIRGO multi-tool. Always ensure the engine is off and cool before performing any maintenance.

  • Cleaning: After each use, clean the exterior of the tool, especially the cutting attachments, to remove grass, dirt, and debris. Use a damp cloth and mild detergent.
  • Air Filter: Regularly inspect and clean the air filter. A clogged air filter can reduce engine performance and increase fuel consumption. Clean with warm, soapy water, rinse, and allow to dry completely before reinstalling.
  • Spark Plug: Check the spark plug periodically for wear or carbon buildup. Replace if necessary, ensuring the correct gap.
  • Blades and Line:
    • Brush Cutter Blades: Inspect for sharpness and damage. Sharpen or replace as needed.
    • Hedge Trimmer Blades: Keep blades clean and lightly oiled to prevent rust and ensure smooth operation.
    • Chainsaw Chain: Ensure the chain is sharp and properly tensioned. Lubricate the chain frequently during use.
    • Nylon Line: Replace the nylon line spool when it runs out. Refer to the product specifications for the correct line diameter (2mm).
  • Fuel System: If storing the tool for an extended period, drain the fuel tank or use a fuel stabilizer to prevent fuel degradation.
  • Storage: Store the multi-tool in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Disassemble attachments for compact storage if desired.
