1. Introduction

This manual provides essential instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your HHU Pandora Box Arcade Game Console. Please read this guide thoroughly to ensure optimal performance and enjoyment of your device.

2. What's in the Box

Upon unpacking, verify that all the following items are included:

  • 1 x Arcade Game Console
  • 2 x Buttons (replacement)
  • 1 x Power adapter
  • 1 x American standard plug
  • 1 x VGA data cable
  • 1 x USB cable
  • 1 x HDMI data cable
  • 1 x User manual

3. Setup

3.1 Connecting the Console

  1. Connect the power adapter to the console's DC 12V port and then to a power outlet.
  2. Connect the HDMI cable from the console's HDMI port to an available HDMI input on your TV, projector, or monitor. Alternatively, use the VGA cable to connect the console's VGA port to a compatible display.
  3. Turn on your display device and select the corresponding HDMI or VGA input channel.

3.2 Connecting Player 2 Controller

If your console model includes a separate player 2 unit, connect it to the main console using the provided cable. This allows for two-player gameplay.

3.3 Installing Joysticks and Buttons

The joysticks may come detached for shipping. To install, simply screw them into the designated slots. The console also includes replacement joystick knobs and buttons that can be easily swapped by accessing the internal components (refer to Maintenance section for details).

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

Once connected to a power source and display, the console will automatically power on. The buttons will illuminate. To power off, disconnect the power adapter.

4.2 Navigating the Menu

Use the joystick to navigate through the game list and menu options. The primary action buttons (e.g., 'A' or 'Start') are used to select items.

4.3 Selecting and Playing Games

Browse the extensive game library using the joystick. Select a game by pressing the designated action button. The game will then load. The console features a collection of 32000 classic games, including various versions of the same title.

4.4 In-Game Features

The console supports several in-game features to enhance your experience:

  • Pause: Temporarily halt gameplay.
  • Save State: Save your current progress in a game.
  • Load State: Resume a game from a previously saved state.
  • Search: Quickly find specific games within the library.
  • Favorites List: Mark and access your preferred games easily.
  • Hide Games: Remove unwanted games from the main list.

4.5 Customizing Controls

Players can personalize button configurations to suit their preferences. Refer to the system settings menu for button remapping options.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning and Care

To prevent scratches during transportation, a protective film is applied to the console's surface. This film should be removed before use. Clean the console with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

5.2 Replacing Components

The console is designed for easy replacement of joystick knobs and buttons. Access the internal components by unscrewing the bottom panel. The provided replacement parts can then be installed.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your arcade game console, refer to the following common solutions:

  • No Signal Detected: Ensure all cables (HDMI/VGA, power) are securely connected to both the console and the display. Verify that your display is set to the correct input source.
  • No Sound: The console has internal speakers. If using HDMI, check your TV's audio settings to ensure sound is routed correctly.
  • Duplicate Games: The console's extensive library may include multiple versions of the same game. Use the 'Search' and 'Hide Games' features in the menu to manage your game list.
  • Buttons/Joystick Unresponsive: Check the physical connections of the joysticks and buttons. If replacement parts are available, try swapping them.
  • Game Loading Issues: Some games may take longer to load. If a game consistently fails to load, try restarting the console.
