2. Safety Information
Always prioritize safety when using your helmet. This helmet is designed to provide protection, but no helmet can protect against all possible impacts. Adhere to all local traffic laws and regulations.
- Ensure the helmet fits snugly and securely before every ride.
- Never modify the helmet's structure, shell, or internal components.
- Do not use solvents, gasoline, or abrasive cleaners on the helmet, as they can damage the shell and internal materials.
- Replace the helmet immediately after any significant impact, even if visible damage is not apparent.
- Keep the visor clean and free from obstructions for clear visibility.
3. Setup and First Use
3.1 Helmet Fit
Proper fit is crucial for safety and comfort. The helmet should feel snug around your head without causing pressure points. It should not move freely when you shake your head.
- Place the helmet on your head, ensuring the top of your head touches the top of the helmet.
- Fasten the chin strap securely. It should be tight enough that you cannot pull the helmet off your head by pulling from the back.
- Check for pressure points. If any areas feel uncomfortably tight, the helmet size may be incorrect.
3.2 Visor Installation/Adjustment
The Mathisse II comes with a large clear visor and includes a Pinlock® 120 XLT lens for anti-fog performance.

- Pinlock® Lens Installation: Carefully align the Pinlock® lens with the pins on the inside of the main visor. Press firmly until the silicone seal creates a tight fit.
- Visor Removal/Reinstallation: Refer to the quick-release mechanism on each side of the visor. Follow the arrows or indicators to unlock and remove the visor. To reinstall, align the visor with the mechanism and press until it clicks securely into place. Ensure both sides are properly engaged before riding.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Chin Bar Operation (Flip-Up Function)
The Mathisse II features a flip-up chin bar, allowing it to be used as both a full-face and open-face helmet (P/J homologated).

- To open the chin bar, locate the release button/lever, typically found under the front center of the chin bar. Press the button and lift the chin bar upwards until it locks into the open position.
- To close the chin bar, firmly pull it down until it clicks securely into the closed position. Ensure it is fully latched before riding.
4.2 Integrated Sun Visor
The helmet includes an internal sun visor for protection against glare.

Operate the sun visor using the slider mechanism located on the side of the helmet. Slide it down to deploy the sun visor and up to retract it. Do not use the sun visor in low light conditions or at night.
5. Maintenance and Care
5.1 Cleaning the Helmet Shell
Clean the helmet shell with a soft cloth and mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the helmet's finish and materials.
5.2 Cleaning the Visor and Pinlock® Lens
Clean the visor with lukewarm water and a soft cloth. For the Pinlock® lens, use only lukewarm water and a soft, damp cloth. Do not rub the inner surface of the Pinlock® lens vigorously, as this can damage the anti-fog coating. Allow both to air dry.
5.3 Interior Lining Care
The interior lining of the Mathisse II helmet is removable for cleaning. Hand wash the lining with mild soap and cold water. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry completely before reinserting into the helmet. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
5.4 Storage
Store your helmet in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use a helmet bag to protect it from dust and scratches.
