6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Real-Time Monitoring
- LCD Display: The meter's LCD displays real-time values for voltage, current, active power, reactive power, frequency, and total energy (kWh). Use the physical buttons on the device to cycle through different display modes.
- SmartLife App: Access the SmartLife App to view real-time and historical energy consumption data, voltage, and current readings. The app also provides details on the reason for any automatic cut-offs with timestamps.
6.2. Protection Features
The device offers comprehensive electrical protection:
- Over/Under Voltage Protection: Adjustable range (120V~300V for overvoltage, 80V~210V for undervoltage). The device will automatically cut off power if voltage exceeds or falls below the set limits.
- Over/Under Current Protection: Adjustable range (1~80A). Power is cut off if current exceeds the set limit.
- Leakage Protection: Adjustable range (10~100mA). The device will trip if a leakage current is detected. Note: Disable leakage protection when monitoring bi-directional power for accurate measurements.
- High Temperature Protection: Automatically disconnects power if the internal temperature exceeds safe operating limits.
- Delay Protection: Configurable delay settings for power restoration after a protection event.
6.3. Timer Switch
Utilize the SmartLife App to set timing schedules for the energy meter. This allows you to automatically turn power on or off at specific times, optimizing energy usage.

Figure 6.1: The timing schedule feature enables users to program specific on/off times for connected devices, promoting energy efficiency and convenience.
6.4. Auto Reconnect Functionality
The meter is equipped with an auto-reconnect feature. After a protection trigger (e.g., overvoltage), the device will automatically restore the power supply once the fault condition is resolved and any set delay period has passed. This minimizes disruption to your electrical system.
7. Maintenance
- Keep the device clean and free from dust. Use a dry, soft cloth for cleaning.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Regularly check wiring connections for any signs of loosening or damage.
- Ensure adequate ventilation around the device to prevent overheating.
8. Troubleshooting
- Device not powering on: Check the main power supply and all wiring connections. Ensure the input voltage is within the specified range.
- No WiFi connection: Ensure your router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz WiFi signal. Verify the WiFi password entered in the SmartLife App is correct. Move the meter closer to the router if signal strength is weak.
- Device trips frequently: Check the set thresholds for over/under voltage, current, and leakage protection. Adjust them if they are too sensitive for your load. Investigate the electrical circuit for actual faults.
- Inaccurate energy readings: Ensure the wiring is correct, especially for bi-directional measurement. If bi-directional measurement is active, ensure leakage protection is disabled as per safety instructions.
- App shows different readings than device: Ensure both the app and the device firmware are up to date. Check for any app updates.
