3. Setup
3.1 Initial Setup
Follow these steps to set up your Alienware Area 51 Gaming Desktop:
- Unpack: Carefully remove the desktop and all accessories from the packaging.
- Placement: Place the desktop on a stable, flat surface with adequate ventilation around all sides. Ensure no vents are obstructed.
- Connect Peripherals: Connect your monitor(s), keyboard, and mouse to the appropriate ports on the desktop. Refer to the "Ports and Slots" diagram below for port identification.
- Power Connection: Connect the power cord to the power supply unit (PSU) input on the back of the desktop, then plug the other end into a grounded electrical outlet.

3.2 Power On
Once all peripherals are connected, press the power button located on the front of the desktop. The system will boot up, and you will be guided through the initial Windows 11 setup process if it's the first time powering on.

Utilize the Alienware Command Center application to switch between performance profiles (Quiet, Balanced, Performance) and fine-tune settings for your specific needs. This helps in managing thermal output and maximizing processing power during intensive tasks.
4.2 Graphics and Gaming
The integrated NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 16GB GDDR7 graphics card provides exceptional visual fidelity and frame rates for the latest games and demanding graphical applications. This GPU leverages the Blackwell architecture for advanced AI performance and realistic rendering.

Ensure your graphics drivers are always up to date for the best performance and compatibility with new titles. You can download the latest drivers from the NVIDIA official website.
5. Maintenance
5.1 General Care and Cleaning
To maintain the performance and longevity of your desktop, regular cleaning is recommended:
- Dust Removal: Use compressed air to regularly clear dust from the vents and internal components. Ensure the system is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.

5.2 Component Access
