6. Maintenance

Proper care and maintenance will ensure the longevity and appearance of your vanity.

  • Ceramic Sink: The ceramic basin is waterproof and stain-resistant. Clean regularly with a soft cloth and mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Rinse thoroughly and dry to prevent water spots.
  • Vanity Surfaces (Engineered Wood): Wipe surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, which can damage the finish. Promptly wipe up any spills to prevent water damage.
  • Hardware: Periodically check all screws and connections to ensure they remain tight. Lubricate drawer slides and door rails if they become stiff.
  • General Care: Avoid placing extremely hot or cold items directly on the countertop without protection. Do not use the vanity as a step stool.

7. Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your vanity.

  • Drawers do not slide smoothly: Check if the drawer slides are properly aligned and free of obstructions. Ensure all screws on the slides are tightened. A small amount of silicone lubricant can be applied to the slides if needed.
  • Sliding door is stiff: Inspect the metal slide rail for any debris or damage. Ensure the rollers are clean and properly seated on the rail. Lubricate the rail if necessary.
  • Water leaks from drain: Verify that the drain assembly is correctly installed and all seals are properly seated. Tighten any connections that may be loose. If the issue persists, consult a qualified plumber.
  • Vanity feels unstable: Ensure all legs are securely attached and all cabinet frame connections are tight. If the floor is uneven, shims may be used under the legs to stabilize the unit.
