Setup Instructions
Battery Charging
Before first use, fully charge both 40V batteries using the provided chargers. Insert the battery into the charger until it clicks into place. The charger's indicator light will show the charging status. Once fully charged, remove the battery from the charger.
Lawn Mower Assembly
The lawn mower requires minimal assembly. Unfold the handle and secure it in place using the quick-release levers. Attach the grass collection bag if you intend to bag clippings. For mulching or side discharge, ensure the appropriate attachments are correctly installed.

String Trimmer Assembly
Assemble the string trimmer by connecting the two shaft sections. Ensure the auxiliary handle is adjusted for comfortable and balanced operation. The guard should be securely attached before use.
Leaf Blower Assembly
Attach the blower tube to the main unit. Ensure it is firmly secured. No further assembly is typically required for the leaf blower.
Tire Inflator Setup
The tire inflator is ready for use once a battery is inserted or connected to a 12V car outlet. Familiarize yourself with the digital display and included tips.
Operating Instructions
Greenworks 40V 21" Self-Propelled Lawn Mower
This mower features a 21" steel deck and a brushless motor for efficient cutting. It offers 3-in-1 mowing versatility: rear bagging, mulching, or side discharge. The self-propelled function assists with maneuverability, especially on inclines up to 20 degrees.
- Starting: Insert a charged 40V battery. Press the push-button start. Engage the bail switch to start the blade and self-propel function.
- Height Adjustment: Use the single lever to adjust cutting height to one of 7 positions (1.38" to 3.75").
- Mowing Modes:
- Rear Bagging: Attach the grass collection bag to collect clippings.
- Mulching: Insert the mulching plug to finely cut and redistribute clippings back onto the lawn.
- Side Discharge: Attach the side discharge chute to direct clippings away from the mower.
- Runtime: A 5.0Ah battery provides up to 45 minutes of runtime. The auto-switch technology allows for longer runtime by seamlessly switching between two batteries if both are installed.
