4. Setup and Installation
1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the dehumidifier from its packaging. Keep all packaging materials for potential future transport or storage.
2. Positioning: Place the dehumidifier on a level surface in the desired area. Ensure there is at least 8 inches (20 cm) of space around the unit for proper airflow.
3. Initial Standby: As per safety instructions, allow the unit to stand upright for at least 2 hours before plugging it in, especially after transport.
4. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. The unit will emit a beep and the display will light up.

5. Operating Instructions
1. Power On: Press the Power button to turn on the dehumidifier. The air outlet will open automatically.
2. Select Mode: Choose from the available modes:
- DEHU (Dehumidification): Standard operation to reduce humidity.
- DRY (Clothes Drying): Provides powerful airflow for drying clothes.

3. Set Desired Humidity: Use the humidity setting buttons to select your target humidity level. The unit will operate until this level is reached, then cycle on and off to maintain it.
4. Adjust Fan Speed: Select your preferred fan speed (Low or High) using the Fan Speed button.
5. Sleep Mode: Press the Sleep Mode button for quiet operation and dimmed display lights, ideal for nighttime use.
6. Child Lock: Activate the Child Lock to prevent unintended changes to settings.

6. Drainage Options
Your PHILODECO dehumidifier offers two convenient drainage methods:
6.1 Manual Drainage (Water Tank)
The unit features a 5.5-liter water tank. When the tank is full, the dehumidifier will automatically shut off, a red "Full" indicator light will illuminate, and an audible alarm will sound. To empty:
- Gently pull out the water tank from the side of the unit.
- Empty the collected water.
- Slide the empty tank back into place until it clicks securely.
6.2 Continuous Drainage (Drain Hose)
For extended operation without manual emptying, use the included drain hose:
- Locate the continuous drain outlet at the back of the unit.
- Connect one end of the drain hose to this outlet.
- Ensure the other end of the hose is directed towards a suitable drain (e.g., floor drain, sink) and is positioned lower than the unit to allow gravity drainage.
- The unit will now continuously drain water, allowing for uninterrupted operation.

7. Maintenance and Cleaning

7.1 Cleaning the Air Filter
The detachable air filter should be cleaned regularly (e.g., every two weeks, depending on usage) to prevent dust buildup and maintain efficiency.
- Turn off the dehumidifier and unplug it from the power outlet.
- Locate the filter at the rear of the unit and gently pull it out.
- Rinse the filter under running water or use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust.
