Thank you for choosing the Aovowheel Electric Bike. This manual provides essential information for the safe operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your new electric bicycle. Please read this manual thoroughly before your first ride to ensure proper assembly, safe usage, and optimal performance.

The Aovowheel Electric Bike is designed for adults, featuring a powerful 750W peak motor, a long-lasting 48V 10.4Ah battery, and a convenient folding design, making it ideal for commuting and recreational use.

Safety Information

Your safety is paramount. Always wear a helmet and appropriate safety gear when riding. Adhere to all local traffic laws and regulations. Do not ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

  • Pre-Ride Check: Before each ride, inspect tires for proper inflation and wear, check brake functionality, ensure all bolts and quick releases are tightened, and verify battery charge level.
  • Riding Conditions: Avoid riding in heavy rain, snow, or icy conditions. Be cautious on uneven or slippery surfaces.
  • Weight Limit: Do not exceed the maximum load capacity of 265 lbs (120 kg).
  • Battery Safety: Do not attempt to open or modify the battery pack. Use only the provided charger. Keep the battery away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
  • Children: While the bike accommodates a second rider, ensure children are supervised and properly secured if using the back seat.

Setup and Assembly

Your Aovowheel Electric Bike comes 95% pre-assembled. Follow these steps for final assembly:

  1. Unfolding the Bike: Carefully unfold the main frame until it locks into place. Secure all folding mechanisms.
  2. Handlebar Installation: Insert the handlebar stem into the fork tube and tighten the quick release or bolts securely. Adjust the handlebar height to a comfortable position.
  3. Seat Post Installation: Insert the seat post into the frame tube. Adjust the seat height so your feet can comfortably touch the ground when stopped. Secure with the quick release.
  4. Pedal Installation: Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. Thread the pedals into the crank arms. Note that the left pedal has a reverse thread. Tighten firmly with a wrench.
  5. Battery Installation: Ensure the battery is fully charged before first use. Slide the battery into its compartment until it clicks securely.
  6. Pre-Ride Inspection: Double-check all connections, bolts, and quick releases to ensure they are tight and secure. Verify brake function and tire pressure.

Operating Instructions

Charging the Battery

To charge the removable battery, connect the charger to the battery charging port and then plug it into a standard wall outlet. The charging indicator light on the charger will change color when charging is complete (approximately 5 hours for a full charge). Always use the original charger provided.

Powering On/Off and Display

Press and hold the power button on the handlebar display to turn the bike on or off. The LCD display provides real-time metrics such as speed, battery level, and riding mode.

Riding Modes

The Aovowheel Electric Bike offers three distinct riding modes:

  • Pure Electric Mode (Throttle Mode): Engage the throttle for motor-only propulsion. Provides a range of approximately 40 miles.
  • Electric Assist Mode (Pedal Assist): The motor provides assistance as you pedal, making riding easier, especially on inclines. Offers a range of approximately 55 miles.
  • Pedal Mode (Bicycle Mode): Ride the bike like a traditional bicycle without any motor assistance.

Switch between modes using the controls on the handlebar.

Smart APP Control

Enhance your riding experience by connecting your electric bike to the dedicated smart app via Bluetooth. The app allows you to:

  • View real-time GPS location.
  • Remotely control the motor and cut power.
  • Set terminal zones for security.
  • Monitor your riding status.
  • Check cycling history records.
  • Receive abnormal alerts.

Download the app from your device's app store. Follow the in-app instructions for pairing your bike.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your electric bike.

  • Cleaning: Clean the bike regularly with a damp cloth. Avoid high-pressure washing directly on electrical components.
  • Tires: Maintain proper tire pressure as indicated on the tire sidewall. Inspect for wear and punctures regularly.
  • Brakes: Check brake pads for wear and replace as needed. Ensure brake levers provide firm and responsive braking.
  • Chain: Keep the chain clean and lubricated to prevent rust and ensure smooth operation.
  • Battery Care: Store the battery in a cool, dry place. If storing for extended periods, charge it to 50-70% every 2-3 months.
  • Fasteners: Periodically check and tighten all bolts, nuts, and quick releases.

Troubleshooting

Warranty and Support

Aovowheel provides the following warranty for your electric bike:

  • One-year warranty for the electric bike and its various parts.
  • Six-month warranty for the battery and motor.

This warranty covers manufacturing defects. It does not cover damage due to misuse, accidents, or normal wear and tear.
