3. Setup and Assembly

3.1 Initial Assembly

  1. Attach the handle to the main unit using the provided hardware.
  2. Securely connect the wheels to the base of the pressure washer.
  3. Connect the high-pressure hose to the pump outlet and the spray gun. Ensure connections are hand-tightened and leak-free.
  4. Attach the spray wand to the spray gun.

3.2 Water Supply Connection

The pressure washer can draw water from two sources:

  • Direct Faucet Connection (A): Connect a standard garden hose (not included) to the water inlet on the pressure washer and to a household faucet. Ensure the faucet is fully open.
  • Water Bucket Siphoning (B): For areas without a direct water supply, use the siphoning tube to draw water from a bucket or other water container. Ensure the bucket is placed at the same level or higher than the pressure washer for optimal performance.

3.3 Electrical Connection

Connect the power cord to a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the outlet meets the power requirements specified in the specifications section.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Starting the Pressure Washer

  1. Ensure the water supply is connected and turned on.
  2. Plug the pressure washer into a grounded electrical outlet.
  3. Press the ON/OFF switch to the 'ON' position. The motor will start.
  4. Squeeze the trigger on the spray gun to begin spraying. The Total Stop System (TSS) will engage, stopping the motor when the trigger is released and restarting it when squeezed again.

4.2 Nozzle Selection and Application

The PowerSmart DB1002 includes 5 quick-connect nozzles for various cleaning tasks:

  • 0° Red Nozzle: Delivers a concentrated, high-pressure stream for stubborn stains and hard-to-reach areas. Use with caution on delicate surfaces.

4.3 Detergent Application

  1. Fill the built-in detergent tank with a pressure washer-safe cleaning solution.
  2. Attach the black soap nozzle to the spray wand.
  3. Squeeze the trigger to apply detergent. The pressure washer will automatically mix the detergent with water at a low pressure.
  4. After applying detergent, switch to a high-pressure nozzle (e.g., 25° or 40°) to rinse the surface thoroughly.

5. Maintenance

5.1 After Each Use

  • Turn off the pressure washer and disconnect the power supply.
  • Turn off the water supply and squeeze the spray gun trigger to release any remaining pressure in the system.
  • Disconnect the garden hose and high-pressure hose.
  • Drain any remaining water from the pump and hoses.
  • Clean the exterior of the unit with a damp cloth.

5.2 Nozzle Cleaning

If a nozzle becomes clogged, use the included nozzle cleaning tool (or a thin wire) to clear any debris from the nozzle opening. Rinse the nozzle with water before reattaching.

5.3 Storage

Store the pressure washer in a dry, frost-free area. If storing for an extended period, consider using a pump protector to prevent corrosion and freezing.
