- Protective Hood for the Cutting Disc: Shields the user from the rotating blade and debris.
- Machine Table: The work surface where tiles are placed for cutting. Made of galvanized steel.
- ON (I)/OFF (O) Switch: Controls the power to the motor.
- Water Reservoir: Holds water for the integrated cooling system, essential for dust reduction and blade longevity.
- Scale for the Mitre Cut: Allows for precise angle adjustments for bevel cuts (0-45 degrees).
- Screw to Secure the Lateral Fence: Fastens the lateral fence in position.
- Set Screw for the Machine Table / Mitre Cut: Adjusts and secures the angle of the machine table for miter cuts.
3. Setup
Proper setup ensures safe and efficient operation of your tile cutter.

Figure 2: Hoteche 600W Tile Cutter ready for setup.
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify that all parts listed in the "Contents of Delivery" section are present.
- Placement: Place the tile cutter on a stable, level surface capable of supporting its weight (approx. 10 kg). Ensure adequate space around the machine for safe operation and material handling. The ergonomic rubber feet provide stable, low-vibration support.
- Blade Installation:
- Ensure the machine is unplugged from the power source.
- Carefully install the 180mm diamond cutting disc onto the motor shaft, ensuring it is oriented correctly and securely fastened.
- Lower the protective hood over the cutting disc.
- Fill Water Reservoir: Fill the integrated water reservoir with clean water. The water level should be sufficient to cool the cutting disc during operation. This system reduces dust and extends blade life.
- Connect Power: Plug the VDE-compliant power cord into a suitable 230V/50Hz electrical outlet. Ensure the ON/OFF switch is in the "OFF" (O) position before connecting.
4. Operating Instructions
Follow these steps for safe and effective tile cutting.
4.1 Powering On/Off
- To turn the machine ON, press the green "I" button on the ON (I)/OFF (O) switch.
- To turn the machine OFF, press the red "O" button.
- Always allow the blade to reach full operating speed (2950 rpm) before beginning a cut.
4.2 Adjusting Cutting Width and Angle

Figure 3: Precision adjustments for cutting width and angle.
- For Straight Cuts (90°):
- Ensure the machine table is set to 0° (90° to the blade).
- Adjust the lateral fence using the screw to secure it at the desired cutting width, referencing the scale. The maximum cutting depth at 90° is 33 mm.
- For Angle Cuts (0-45°):
- Loosen the set screw for the machine table/mitre cut.
- Tilt the machine table to the desired angle (up to 45°) using the scale for the mitre cut.
- Securely tighten the set screw. The maximum cutting depth at 45° is 21 mm.
4.3 Performing a Cut

Figure 4: Demonstrating straight and angle tile cuts.

Figure 5: Performing a 45-degree angle cut.
- Ensure the water reservoir is adequately filled.
- Turn on the tile cutter and allow the blade to reach full speed.
- Place the tile firmly against the lateral fence (for straight cuts) or align it according to your marked angle.
- Slowly and steadily feed the tile into the rotating blade. Do not force the tile; let the blade do the work.
- Maintain a firm grip on the tile throughout the cut. Keep hands clear of the blade path.
- Once the cut is complete, turn off the machine and wait for the blade to stop completely before removing the tile.
This tile cutter is suitable for cutting ceramic, stone, and porcelain tiles, making it ideal for various applications such as bathroom renovations, kitchen wall installations, and natural stone slab processing.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Hoteche Tile Cutter.

Figure 7: The integrated blade cooling water reservoir.
- Cleaning: After each use, disconnect the power and clean the machine table and surrounding areas. Remove any tile dust or debris.
- Water Reservoir: Regularly drain and clean the water reservoir to prevent sludge buildup, which can affect the cooling system's efficiency. Refill with fresh, clean water before each use.
- Blade Inspection: Periodically inspect the diamond cutting disc for wear or damage. A worn blade will reduce cutting efficiency and quality. Replace the blade when necessary. Only use 180mm diamond blades.
- Motor Cover: The motor cover is designed to be dust-proof, contributing to a longer service life. Keep it free from excessive debris.
- Storage: Store the tile cutter in a dry, secure location, out of reach of children.
6. Troubleshooting
Refer to this section for common issues and their solutions.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Machine does not start. | No power supply; ON/OFF switch not fully engaged. | Check power connection and outlet. Ensure switch is pressed firmly to "I". |
| Poor cutting performance or rough edges. | Worn or damaged cutting disc; insufficient water cooling; forcing the cut. | Replace the cutting disc. Ensure water reservoir is full and cooling system is functioning. Reduce feed pressure. |
| Excessive dust during operation. | Insufficient water cooling. | Check water level in the reservoir. Clean the reservoir if sludge is present. |
| Blade overheating. | Lack of water cooling; continuous heavy cutting. | Ensure adequate water supply. Allow the blade to cool periodically during prolonged use. |
