5. Setup

5.1 Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the device.
2. Open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert the required batteries (typically AAA, refer to the compartment for specific type and polarity) according to the polarity indicators (+ and -).
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

5.2 Placement

Place the device in your desired indoor location. Ensure it is not near heat sources, direct sunlight, or vents that could affect temperature and humidity readings. The integrated stand allows for desktop placement, or it can be hung on a wall using the designated hole.

6. Operating Instructions

Upon battery installation, the device will power on automatically and display current temperature and humidity. The E0828 model does not feature a backlight.

6.1 Button Functions

• °C/°F: Press this button to switch the temperature display between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F).
• MAX/MIN: Press this button to view the maximum and minimum recorded temperature and humidity values since the last reset. Press again to cycle through MAX, MIN, and current readings. To reset the MAX/MIN records, press and hold the MAX/MIN button for a few seconds while viewing the MAX/MIN values.
• MODE / ADJ: These buttons (if present on your specific E0828 unit) are typically used for setting time or other advanced functions. For basic temperature and humidity monitoring, °C/°F and MAX/MIN are the primary controls.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning

Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or immerse the device in water.
