Basic Bread Making Steps

Follow these general steps for baking bread:

Four-step visual guide for bread making: adding ingredients, selecting settings, starting bake, and enjoying finished bread.

Figure 3: Easy Bread Making Process
This image illustrates the four main steps: 1. Adding ingredients (flour, yeast, sugar, salt, water, butter) to the bread pan. 2. Selecting the desired program, loaf weight, and crust color on the control panel. 3. Pressing "Start" to begin the automatic mixing, fermenting, and baking cycle. 4. Removing and enjoying the freshly baked bread.

  1. Add Ingredients: Place the kneading paddle into the bread pan. Add liquid ingredients first, followed by dry ingredients. Make a small indentation in the dry ingredients for the yeast, ensuring it does not come into direct contact with liquids or salt initially. Refer to your recipe book for precise measurements and order.
  2. Place Bread Pan: Insert the bread pan into the bread maker and twist it clockwise until it locks into place. Close the lid.
  3. Select Program: Plug in the bread maker. Use the MENU button to select your desired program (e.g., Basic Bread, Whole Wheat, Gluten-Free).
  4. Choose Loaf Size and Crust: Press the WEIGHT button to select the loaf size (1lb, 1.5lb, or 2lb). Press the CRUST SHADE button to choose your preferred crust color (Light, Medium, or Dark).
