5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Using the Folding Drop Leaf

The kitchen island features a flexible folding drop leaf designed to expand your counter space or create a dining area. To extend the drop leaf:

  1. Gently lift the drop leaf section of the tabletop.
  2. Pull out the support bar located underneath the drop leaf until it locks into place.
  3. Carefully lower the drop leaf onto the extended support bar.

To retract the drop leaf, reverse these steps: lift the leaf slightly, push the support bar back into its stored position, and then lower the leaf to its compact position.

6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and appearance of your Shintenchi Kitchen Island, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: The tabletop and surfaces are water-resistant and easy to clean. Wipe spills immediately with a soft, damp cloth. For general cleaning, use a mild soap solution and dry thoroughly. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
  • Hardware: Periodically check all screws and fasteners to ensure they are tight. Retighten as needed to maintain stability.
