6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Basic Weighing

  3. Gently place the item to be weighed onto the center of the weighing pan.
  4. Read the stable weight displayed on the LCD screen.
  5. Remove the item from the pan.

6.2. Tare Function

The tare function allows you to weigh items in a container by subtracting the container's weight.

  1. Place the empty container on the weighing pan.
  2. Press the TARE/ZERO button. The display will reset to "0.00g".
  3. Place the items to be weighed into the container. The display will show the net weight of the items.
  4. Remove both the container and items. The display may show a negative value; press TARE/ZERO again to return to zero.

6.3. Unit Conversion

To change the weighing unit:

  • Press the UNIT button repeatedly to cycle through available units (e.g., g, oz, ct, dwt).
  • The selected unit will be indicated on the LCD display.

6.4. Calibration

Regular calibration ensures accuracy. Use a known calibration weight (e.g., 2000g) for this process.

  1. Ensure the balance is powered on and the weighing pan is empty.
  2. Press and hold the CAL button until "CAL" appears on the display, then release.
  3. The display will show the required calibration weight (e.g., "2000g").
  4. Carefully place the specified calibration weight onto the center of the weighing pan.
  5. Wait for the display to show "PASS" or return to normal weighing mode with the correct weight displayed.
  6. Remove the calibration weight. The balance is now calibrated.

6.5. Counting Function (PCS)

This function allows you to count a large number of small, identical items.

  1. Place a sample quantity of items (e.g., 10, 20, 50, or 100 pieces) on the weighing pan.
  2. Press and hold the PCS button until the display shows a number corresponding to the sample size (e.g., "10 PCS").
  3. Press the UNIT button to select the sample size that matches the number of items you placed on the pan.
  4. Press PCS again to confirm. The display will now show the count of the sample.
  5. Add more items to the pan, and the display will show the total count.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the balance with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or immerse the balance in water.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the balance in a dry, dust-free environment.
  • Calibration: Calibrate the balance regularly, especially after moving it or if you suspect accuracy issues.
  • Inspection: Periodically check the power cord for damage.
