Operate the generator outdoors in a well-ventilated area, far from windows, doors, and vents. Never operate indoors or in partially enclosed spaces. This generator includes a built-in CO alarm for added safety.
  • Fire Hazard: Gasoline is highly flammable. Refuel in a well-ventilated area with the engine off and cool. Do not smoke or allow flames or sparks near the generator or fuel tank.
  • Electrical Shock Hazard: Never operate the generator in wet conditions. Ensure all electrical connections are dry and secure. Do not overload the generator.
  • Hot Surfaces: The generator's engine and muffler become hot during operation and remain hot for a period after shutdown. Avoid contact with hot surfaces.
  • Children and Pets: Keep children and pets away from the generator at all times.

3. Setup

Unpacking and Initial Inspection:

  • Carefully remove the generator from its packaging.
  • Inspect for any shipping damage. Contact customer support if damage is found.
  • Ensure all included accessories (e.g., wrench) are present.

Adding Engine Oil:

The generator is shipped without engine oil. It is crucial to add the correct type and amount of oil before first use.

  1. Place the generator on a level surface.
  2. Remove the oil fill cap/dipstick.
  3. Slowly add recommended engine oil (refer to specifications for type and capacity) until it reaches the upper mark on the dipstick. Do not overfill.
  4. Securely replace the oil fill cap/dipstick.

Adding Fuel:

Use fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher.

  1. Ensure the generator is off and cool.
  2. Open the fuel tank cap.
  3. Carefully pour gasoline into the fuel tank, avoiding spills. Do not fill above the red indicator line.
  4. Securely close the fuel tank cap.

Placement:

Always place the generator outdoors in a well-ventilated area, at least 20 feet away from any buildings, windows, or vents. Ensure the exhaust is directed away from people and buildings.

4. Operating Instructions

Starting the Generator:

  1. Ensure the generator is on a level surface and all electrical loads are disconnected.
  2. Turn the fuel cap vent lever to the 'ON' position.
  3. Turn the engine switch to the 'CHOKE' position (if the engine is cold).
  4. Pull the recoil starter handle firmly until the engine starts.
  5. Once the engine starts, slowly move the engine switch to the 'RUN' position.
  6. Allow the engine to warm up for a few minutes before connecting electrical devices.

Connecting Electrical Devices:

Connect your appliances or devices to the appropriate outlets. Do not exceed the generator's rated running wattage.

Generator Will Not Start:

  • No Fuel: Check fuel level and add fresh gasoline if necessary.
  • No Oil: Check engine oil level. The generator has a low-oil shutdown feature.
  • Choke Position: Ensure the choke is in the correct position for starting (fully choked when cold, gradually moved to run as engine warms).
  • Spark Plug: Inspect the spark plug for fouling or damage. Clean or replace if needed.
  • Fuel Valve: Ensure the fuel valve is open.

No Power Output:

  • AC Breaker Tripped: Check the AC breaker on the control panel and reset if tripped.
  • Overload: Disconnect some appliances to reduce the load.
  • CO Alarm Activated: If the CO alarm has activated, the generator will shut down. Move the generator to a more open area and allow it to ventilate before restarting.

Engine Runs Poorly:

  • Stale Fuel: Drain old fuel and refill with fresh gasoline.
  • Dirty Air Filter: Clean or replace the air filter.
  • Spark Plug: Inspect and clean or replace the spark plug.
