1. Introduction

The DUODIAN F20Max Electric Scooter is designed for adults, featuring a powerful 350W (500W peak) motor, a top speed of 19 MPH, and a range of up to 18 miles on a single charge. It is equipped with 8.5-inch maintenance-free solid tires, a dual braking system, and smart app control for enhanced functionality and safety.

2. Safety Information

Your safety is paramount. Always wear a helmet and appropriate protective gear when riding. Adhere to all local traffic laws and regulations. This scooter has been tested to UL2272 and UL2054 standards for safety.

  • Always wear a helmet and protective gear (knee pads, elbow pads) when riding.
  • Do not ride in heavy rain or through puddles deeper than 0.8 inches.
  • Ensure all screws and components are securely fastened before each ride.

4. Assembly Instructions

The DUODIAN F20Max Electric Scooter comes partially assembled. Follow these steps to complete the assembly:

  1. Unfold the Scooter: Carefully lift the handlebar stem until it clicks into place. Secure the folding mechanism latch.
  2. Attach the Handlebars: Connect the wiring from the handlebar assembly to the main stem. Carefully feed the wiring into the stem.
  3. Secure the Handlebars: Align the handlebar unit with the stem and use the provided screws and hexagon wrench to firmly attach it. Ensure the brake lever is on the left side and the accelerator on the right. There are typically 6 screws for this attachment (2 on each side, 2 in front).

5. Charging Instructions

Before your first ride, fully charge the scooter's battery. The charging port is conveniently located on the front side of the scooter's deck.

  1. Locate the charging port on the scooter's deck, usually covered by a protective cap.

6. App Connection & Features

Enhance your riding experience by connecting your DUODIAN F20Max Electric Scooter to the dedicated smartphone application. The app allows for remote locking, speed mode adjustments, and real-time data monitoring.

  1. Download the App: Scan the QR code on the scooter's display or visit smartapp.tuya.com/tuyasmart to download the Tuya Smart app.
  2. Power On Scooter: Press and hold the power button on the scooter's display to turn it on.
  3. Connect via Bluetooth: Open the app on your smartphone and follow the on-screen instructions to connect via Bluetooth.
  4. Explore Features: Once connected, you can view battery level, current speed, adjust speed modes (Low, Medium, High), activate/deactivate cruise control, turn headlights/taillights on/off, and remotely lock the scooter to prevent theft.

7. Operating Instructions

Familiarize yourself with the controls and practice in a safe, open area before riding in traffic.

  1. Power On: Press and hold the power button on the display until the screen illuminates.
  2. Select Speed Mode: Briefly press the power button to cycle through the three adjustable speed modes (ECO, D, S).
  3. Start Riding: Place one foot on the deck and push off with the other foot. Once you have some momentum, gently press the accelerator lever on the right handlebar.
  4. Braking: Use the brake lever on the left handlebar to engage the dual braking system (disc brake and EABS). Apply brakes gently to avoid sudden stops.
  5. Headlights & Taillights: Turn on the lights via the app or by double-pressing the power button for increased visibility.
  6. Cruise Control: Maintain a consistent speed for a few seconds to activate cruise control. The scooter will maintain this speed until you apply the brake or accelerator.

8. Folding and Portability

The DUODIAN F20Max is designed for easy portability with its lightweight and quick-folding mechanism.

  1. Folding: Locate the folding latch mechanism at the base of the handlebar stem. Release the latch and carefully fold the stem downwards until it locks into the rear fender. This process takes approximately 3 seconds.
  2. Carrying: Once folded, the scooter weighs only 32 pounds, making it easy to carry upstairs, onto public transport, or store in a car trunk.
