3. Product Overview

4. Setup

4.1. Inserting the SIM Card (if not pre-installed)

Your XOTODREM G05 walkie talkie comes with a pre-installed SIM card. If you need to re-insert or replace it:

  1. Ensure the device is powered off.
  2. Remove the battery cover on the back of the device.
  3. Carefully remove the battery.
  4. Locate the SIM card slot. Insert the 4G LTE SIM card with the gold contacts facing down, ensuring it clicks into place.
  5. Replace the battery and battery cover.

4.2. Installing the Battery

The battery is typically pre-installed. If you need to install or re-install it:

  1. Ensure the device is powered off.
  2. Align the battery with the contacts in the battery compartment.
  3. Gently press the battery into place until it is secure.
  4. Replace the battery cover, ensuring it latches securely.

4.3. Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the walkie talkie. Use the provided Type-C charger.

  1. Connect the Type-C charging cable to the charging port on the side of the walkie talkie.
  2. Plug the other end of the cable into a compatible USB power adapter or port.
  3. The charging indicator light will typically show red while charging and turn green when fully charged.
  4. A full charge ensures continuous use during long activities.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Power On/Off

  1. To power on, long press and hold the power button until the screen illuminates.
  2. To power off, long press and hold the power button again until the device shuts down.

5.2. Basic Communication (Push-to-Talk)

Once powered on and connected to the cellular network, you can begin communicating.

  1. Ensure your device shows a stable network signal on the digital display.
  2. To transmit your voice, press and hold the PTT (Push-to-Talk) button located on the side of the radio.
  3. Speak clearly into the microphone.
  4. Release the PTT button to listen for a response.

5.3. Adjusting Volume

Use the Up/Down arrow buttons on the front of the device to adjust the speaker volume.

5.4. Group Communication and Private Calls

  • Group Calls: By default, your radios are configured for group communication. All radios in the same group will receive transmissions when the PTT button is pressed.

5.5. Using the Flashlight

The XOTODREM G05 includes a built-in flashlight. Consult your device's specific button layout for activation, typically a short press of a dedicated button or a combination with the power button.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Battery Care

  • To maximize battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • Charge the battery using only the provided charger and Type-C cable.
