1. Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient use, setup, operation, and maintenance of your new battery. 2. Safety Information

Lithium-ion batteries require careful handling. Adhere to the following safety precautions to prevent injury or damage:

  • Do not disassemble, puncture, or modify the battery pack.
  • Avoid exposing the battery to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or fire.
  • Use only the provided 54.6V 2A charger. Using an incompatible charger can cause damage or fire.

4. Setup

4.1 Initial Charging

  1. Connect the charger to a standard AC power outlet. The charger's indicator light should illuminate.
  2. Connect the charger's output plug to the charging port on the battery pack.
  3. Allow the battery to charge completely. The charging time is approximately 4-6 hours. The charger indicator light will typically change color (e.g., from red to green) when fully charged.
  4. Once fully charged, disconnect the charger from the battery, then from the AC outlet.

4.2 Installation on E-Bike

The battery pack is designed to be removable and fits most bicycle frames. Secure the battery pack firmly to your e-bike frame using appropriate mounting hardware (not included, as specific bike frames vary). Ensure the battery is stable and does not shift during operation.

4.3 Connecting to Motor

Connect the XT60 connector from the battery pack to the corresponding XT60 connector on your e-bike motor system. Ensure a secure and tight connection to prevent power interruptions.

5. Operating

5.1 Charging Procedures

Always use the provided 54.6V 2A charger. Charge the battery in a well-ventilated area, away from flammable materials. Do not leave the battery unattended during charging, especially for extended periods beyond the recommended charging time.

5.2 Discharging and Usage

The battery is compatible with motor kits under 500W. Exceeding this power rating may reduce battery life or cause damage. Monitor your e-bike's battery level indicator during use to avoid deep discharge, which can negatively impact battery longevity.

5.3 Smart BMS System

The integrated Smart Battery Management System (BMS) provides multiple layers of protection to ensure safe and reliable operation. These protections include:

  • Balance Function: Ensures cells are charged and discharged evenly.
  • Overvoltage Protection: Prevents overcharging beyond safe voltage levels.
  • Overcharge Protection: Stops charging once the battery reaches full capacity.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Storage

For long-term storage, charge the battery to approximately 50-60% of its capacity. Store the battery in a cool, dry place with a temperature between -20℃ to 40℃ (-4℉ to 104℉). Avoid storing in direct sunlight or extreme heat/cold. Recharge the battery every 3 months to maintain its charge level and prevent deep discharge.

6.2 Cleaning

Wipe the battery pack with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Ensure the charging port and connectors are clean and free of debris.

6.3 Lifespan

The battery is designed for a long lifespan, with an estimated service time of about 1100 charge cycles under optimal conditions. Proper charging, discharging, and storage practices contribute significantly to maximizing battery life.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Battery not charging:
    • Ensure the charger is properly connected to both the power outlet and the battery.
    • Verify the power outlet is functional.
    • Check the charger's indicator light. If it does not illuminate, the charger may be faulty.
  • Battery not powering e-bike:
    • Ensure the battery is fully charged.
    • Check that the XT60 connector is securely attached to the e-bike motor system.
    • Verify that the e-bike's power switch is in the 'ON' position.
    • If the BMS has activated a protection mode (e.g., due to over-discharge), the battery may need to be recharged to reset.
  • Unusual heat or odor:
    • Immediately disconnect the battery from the e-bike and charger.
    • Move the battery to a safe, non-flammable area.
