Setup and Assembly

Your Gyrocopters Zeil e-bike comes partially assembled. Follow these general steps for final setup. Refer to the included quick start guide for detailed assembly instructions.

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Handlebar Installation: Securely attach the handlebar to the stem.
  3. Front Wheel Installation: Install the front wheel and ensure the disc brake caliper is correctly aligned.
  4. Pedal Installation: Attach the pedals, noting that they are side-specific (L for left, R for right).
  5. Seat Post Adjustment: Insert the seat post and adjust the seat height for comfortable riding. The adjustable seat height ranges from 33.3" to 39.4" (845mm to 1000mm).

Battery and Charging

The Gyrocopters Zeil is equipped with a removable 48V, 480Wh lithium-ion battery. It features an advanced Battery Management System (BMS) for safety and longevity.

Charging the Battery

  • The battery can be charged while installed on the bike or removed.

Operating Instructions

Powering On and Off

Press and hold the Power On/Off button on the handlebar control panel to turn the e-bike on or off. The LCD display will illuminate.

LCD Display Functions

The LCD display provides real-time information:

  • Speed: Current riding speed.
  • Mileage: Trip distance and total odometer.
  • Battery Level: Remaining battery charge.
  • Assistance Level: Current pedal assist mode.
  • Modes: Indication of selected riding mode.

Riding Modes

The Zeil e-bike offers three riding modes:

  1. Normal Riding Mode: Ride like a traditional bicycle, using pedal power only.
  2. Pure Electric Mode: Use the throttle for acceleration without pedaling. Max speed up to 32km/h (20 mph).
  3. Pedal Assistance Mode: The motor provides assistance as you pedal. This mode offers the maximum range, up to 91km (57 miles). The cadence sensor detects pedaling and activates the motor.

Speed Settings and Unlocking

The e-bike has three default speed settings: 15km/h (9.3 miles), 25km/h (15 miles), and 32km/h (19 miles). The e-bike can reach a speed of up to 40 km/h (25 mph) after unlocking the speed limit. Refer to the manufacturer's instructions or support for details on unlocking the speed.

7-Speed Gear Shifter

Use the 7-speed thumb shifter to adjust gears according to terrain and desired pedaling effort. This enhances terrain adaptability.
