1. Safety Information

3. Setup and Assembly

The Ktaxon Baby High Chair requires assembly. Please follow these general steps. Refer to the included assembly diagrams for detailed visual instructions.

1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging and verify against the parts list in your physical manual.
2. Assemble Legs: Attach the leg frames to the main seat unit. Ensure they click securely into place. Depending on the desired configuration (high chair, toddler chair, rocking chair), select the appropriate leg extensions or rocking bases.
3. Attach Footrest: Slide the footrest into the designated slots on the leg frame until it locks.
4. Install Seat Pad: Place the soft PU seat pad onto the seat shell, ensuring it is properly aligned and secured.
5. Attach Tray: Slide the tray onto the armrests. Ensure it is securely latched.
6. Final Check: Before first use, double-check that all connections are firm and secure.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Adjusting the Backrest

The backrest can be adjusted to three different recline positions.

1. Locate the backrest adjustment button on the rear of the seat.
2. Press and hold the button.
3. Gently push or pull the backrest to the desired position.
4. Release the button to lock the backrest in place. Ensure it is securely locked before placing your child in the chair.

4.2 Using and Adjusting the Tray

The high chair features a removable dual-layer tray that can be adjusted to three positions.

1. Attaching/Removing the Tray: Press the release buttons on both sides of the tray and slide it onto or off the armrests.
2. Adjusting Tray Position: With the tray attached, press the adjustment buttons (usually located underneath the tray or on the armrests) and slide the tray forward or backward to one of the three positions. Release the buttons to lock.
3. The top layer of the tray is detachable for easy cleaning.

4.3 Securing Your Child with the 5-Point Harness

Always use the 5-point safety harness to keep your child secure.

1. Place your child in the seat.
2. Bring the shoulder straps over your child's shoulders and the waist straps around their waist.
3. Connect the shoulder straps to the waist straps, then insert the buckles into the central buckle until they click.
4. Adjust the straps to ensure a snug fit, leaving enough room for one finger between the strap and your child.

4.4 Converting Between Modes (6-in-1 Design)

• High Chair: Standard configuration for feeding at table height.
• Toddler Chair: Lower the seat for independent seating.

• With/Without Wheels: Attach or remove the locking casters for mobility or stationary use.

4.5 Folding for Storage and Portability

The high chair is designed to fold for compact storage and easy transport.

1. Remove the tray and any accessories.
2. Ensure the backrest is in its most upright position.
3. Locate the folding mechanisms (refer to your physical manual for exact locations).
4. Engage the folding mechanisms and gently collapse the chair.
5. Ensure the chair is fully folded and locked in the folded position before moving or storing.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

Regular cleaning will help maintain the hygiene and appearance of your high chair.

• Tray: The dual-layer plastic tray is wipe-clean and the top layer is removable for easy washing. It can be hand-washed with mild soap and water or placed in the dishwasher (top rack recommended).
• Seat Pad: The soft PU seat pad is removable and machine-washable. Use a gentle cycle with cold water and mild detergent. Air dry only; do not tumble dry.
• Frame and Other Parts: Wipe down the metal frame and plastic components with a damp cloth and mild soap. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
• Avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the materials.

5.2 Storage

When not in use, store the high chair in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your Ktaxon Baby High Chair, please refer to the following common solutions:

• Chair feels unstable: Ensure all leg connections are fully engaged and locked. Check that the anti-slip footrests are properly positioned on a flat surface.
• Backrest not reclining/locking: Verify that the adjustment button is fully pressed during adjustment and released completely to lock into one of the three positions.
• Tray difficult to attach/remove: Ensure the release buttons are fully depressed when sliding the tray. Check for any obstructions in the tray tracks.
• Harness not securing: Make sure all five points of the harness are correctly buckled and adjusted snugly to your child's size.
• Folding mechanism stuck: Ensure the tray is removed and the backrest is upright. Check for any debris or obstructions in the folding joints. Do not force the mechanism.
