5. Setup

5.1. Battery Installation (for Memory Backup)

The TM619H-2 requires a 3V lithium battery (e.g., CR2032, not included) for memory backup. This battery ensures that your programmed settings are retained during power outages. Locate the battery compartment, insert the battery with the correct polarity, and close the compartment.

5.2. Mounting

The timer switch is designed for panel assembly. Secure the device in a suitable enclosure or panel cutout using appropriate mounting hardware (not included).

5.3. Wiring

Refer to the wiring diagram on the back of the device and the images below for correct connections. Ensure all connections are tight and insulated.

General Wiring Guide:

• Input Power (DC12V): Connect your 12V DC power supply to the designated input terminals (typically labeled 'INPUT' or 'LINE').
• Load Output: Connect the device you wish to control to the output terminals (typically labeled 'OUTPUT' or 'LOAD'). The timer acts as a switch for this load.
• Ensure the load's current draw does not exceed the timer's maximum rating of 30A.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Initial Power-Up and Reset

Upon first power-up or after battery installation, the display may show random characters. Press the R (Reset) button (usually a small recessed button requiring a pointed object) to clear all settings and initialize the timer.

6.2. Setting Current Time

1. Press the CLOCK button and hold it.
2. While holding CLOCK, press DAY to set the current day of the week.
3. While holding CLOCK, press HOUR to set the current hour.
4. While holding CLOCK, press MIN to set the current minute.
5. Release the CLOCK button. The time is now set.

6.3. Switching 12/24-Hour System

To switch between 12-hour (AM/PM) and 24-hour formats, press the CLOCK button and then the TIMER button simultaneously.

6.4. Programming ON/OFF Events

The TM619H-2 allows you to set multiple ON/OFF programs. Follow these steps:

1. Press the TIMER button once. The display will show "1 ON".
2. Press DAY to select the day(s) for this ON event (e.g., Mon-Fri, Sat-Sun, every day, specific day).
3. Press HOUR to set the desired hour for the ON event.
4. Press MIN to set the desired minute for the ON event.
5. Press the TIMER button again. The display will show "1 OFF".
6. Repeat steps 2-4 to set the day(s), hour, and minute for the corresponding OFF event.
7. Continue pressing TIMER to cycle through other program settings (2 ON, 2 OFF, etc.).
8. After setting all desired programs, press the CLOCK button to exit programming mode and return to the current time display.

6.5. Manual Override

The MANUAL button allows you to override the programmed settings temporarily. Pressing this button cycles through different modes:

• ON: The output is continuously ON, ignoring programs.
• AUTO ON: The output is currently ON and will follow the next programmed OFF event.
• AUTO OFF: The output is currently OFF and will follow the next programmed ON event.
• OFF: The output is continuously OFF, ignoring programs.

Select "AUTO ON" or "AUTO OFF" for the timer to resume automatic operation based on your programs.

7. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Battery Replacement: If the display becomes dim or programs are lost frequently during power interruptions, the 3V lithium backup battery may need replacement. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 5.1.
• Inspection: Periodically check wiring connections for tightness and signs of wear.
