5. Setup and Installation

5.1. Mounting

The TM919BK timer is designed for 35mm DIN rail mounting. Securely attach the timer to the DIN rail in your electrical panel or enclosure.

5.2. Wiring

Refer to the wiring diagram printed on the timer unit. Ensure all connections are secure and comply with local electrical codes.

  • Terminals 1 & 2: Power input (85-265V AC).
  • Terminals 3, 4, 5: Output contacts for the controlled device. Terminal 4 is common, Terminal 3 is normally closed (NC), and Terminal 5 is normally open (NO). Connect your load between Terminal 4 and Terminal 5 for standard ON/OFF control.

After wiring, restore power to the circuit. The timer's LCD display should illuminate.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Initial Setup / Reset

Upon first power-up or after a long period without power, the display may be blank or show incorrect time. Press the RESET button (usually a small recessed button requiring a pointed object) to clear all settings and reset the timer to its default state. The display will show 00:00:00.

6.2. Setting the Current Time and Day

  1. Press the P button once. The display will show the current day of the week (e.g., 'Mo' for Monday).
  2. Press D+ to select the correct day of the week.
  3. Press H+ to set the current hour.
  4. Press M+ to set the current minute.
  5. Press the P button again to exit time setting mode.

6.3. Programming ON/OFF Schedules

The timer supports up to 16 ON/OFF programs. Each program consists of an ON time and an OFF time.

  1. Press the P button repeatedly until '1 ON' appears on the display. This is your first ON program.
  2. Press D+ to select the desired day(s) for this program. You can choose individual days, weekdays, weekends, or various combinations (e.g., Mo-Fr, Sa-Su, Mo-Su).
  3. Press H+ to set the ON hour.
  4. Press M+ to set the ON minute.
  5. Press the P button again. '1 OFF' will appear. This is the OFF time for your first program.
  6. Repeat steps 2-4 to set the OFF day(s), hour, and minute for '1 OFF'.
  7. Continue pressing P to cycle through '2 ON', '2 OFF', up to '16 ON', '16 OFF', setting each program as needed.
  8. After setting all desired programs, press the P button until the current time is displayed to save and exit programming mode.

6.4. Manual Override

The MANUAL button allows you to override the current program state.

  • Press MANUAL once to switch the output from AUTO to ON. The 'ON' indicator will light up.
  • Press MANUAL again to switch the output from ON to OFF. The 'OFF' indicator will light up.
  • Press MANUAL a third time to return to AUTO mode. The timer will follow its programmed schedule.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the timer with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery: The internal battery is designed for long-term backup. If the timer frequently loses its settings during power outages, the battery may need replacement by a qualified technician.
  • Inspection: Periodically check wiring connections for tightness and signs of wear.

8. Troubleshooting
