Setup
Connect the Pruning Shears to the Pole (if using pole mode):
Align the electric pruner with the connection point on the telescopic rod. Push firmly until it clicks into place, ensuring a secure connection.

Install the Battery:
Ensure the pruning shears are turned off. Insert a compatible Dewalt 20V MAX battery into the battery slot until it locks securely. (Battery not included).

Adjust the Telescopic Rod Length (if using pole mode):
Loosen the locking mechanisms on the telescopic rod. Extend or retract the pole to your desired length (4.2ft to 8.2ft) for optimal reach. Securely tighten the locking mechanisms.

Attach Shoulder Strap (optional, for pole mode):
Attach the included shoulder strap to the designated points on the pole for improved comfort and stability during extended use.
Operating Instructions
Powering On and Activation:
Turn on the Power Switch:
Locate the power switch on the tool and turn it to the "ON" position.

Activate the Device:
To activate the pruning shears, press the trigger switch twice in quick succession. The blades will open, indicating the tool is ready for use. The LCD screen will display battery power and cutting times.

Auto-Sleep and Reactivation:
If the device is inactive for more than one minute, it will automatically enter a low-power sleep mode. To reactivate, simply double-press the trigger switch again.

Adjusting Cutting Diameter:
The pruning shears feature two cutting modes for different branch sizes:
- Mode 1 (0.79" / 20mm): For thinner twigs and branches.
- Mode 2 (1.2" / 30mm): For thicker branches.
To switch between modes, press and hold the trigger switch for 4 seconds. The tool will automatically switch to the other mode. You can also double-click the trigger after powering on and long-press until a "beep" sound to adjust the opening size.

Using the Pole Pruner:
When using the telescopic pole, ensure it is securely assembled and adjusted to the appropriate length for the branches you intend to prune. Utilize the shoulder strap for better balance and reduced fatigue. The pruner head can be rotated 0-180 degrees vertically and horizontally for optimal cutting angles.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your pruning shears.
- Cleaning: After each use, clean the blades and cutting mechanism to remove sap, debris, and dirt. Use a damp cloth and mild detergent if necessary. Ensure the tool is dry before storage.
