4. Compatibility

This device is compatible with Mercedes-Benz A Class W176, GLA Class X156, CLA Class C117, and G Class W463 models from 2016 to 2018, specifically those equipped with the original NTG5.0 system. Please confirm your car's original system before installation.

5. Installation Guide

Follow these steps for proper installation of your Linux Screen Wireless CarPlay Android Auto Touch Screen. It is recommended to seek professional assistance if you are unsure about any steps.

5.1. Disassembly of Original Components

  1. Pry out the air-conditioning trim panel with a rocker tool, then place the trim panel to one side.
  2. Pry out the upper and lower trim panels of the instrument panel with a rocker tool.
  3. Remove two fixing screws from the instrument panel.
  4. Pull the original display screen outward, take it out, and then remove the power cord and LVDS plug.
  5. Remove the fixing screws of the host panel.
  6. Pull the host of the original vehicle outward, take out the host, then hold the buckle of the ISO plug of the host and pull it backward to take out the ISO plug of the host.
  7. Press the small buckle on the original ISO wire head with tweezers, and take out the 2P orange optical fiber cable.

5.2. Wiring and Connections

  1. Thread the ISO harness and RCA harness through the center console to the base of the display with threading tools and electrical tape.
  2. Pry open the side cover of the storage box with a rocker tool.
  3. Thread the plug ends of the 4G antenna and GPS antenna through the storage box to the base of the display screen.
  4. Pass the 2 USB sockets through the storage box and put them into the storage box.
  5. Tear off the double-sided adhesive tape behind the 4G antenna and GPS antenna and paste them on the dashboard. Plug the excess wire into the gap above the storage box, and press the exposed harness into the gap with a rocker tool.
  6. Plug the 2P orange optical fiber cable behind the female head of the Android ISO cable.
  7. Connect the ISO plug of the original host to the male of the Android ISO harness.
  8. Connect the Android ISO cable female to the back of the original host. Insert the plug and press the buckle to make it firmly installed.
  9. Install the original host back to its original position, confirm that it is installed in place, and then lock and fix the original host.
  10. Install the three panels of the instrument cluster back into place.
  11. Connect the original display LVDS cable to the Android LVDS cable on the RCA harness.
  12. Install the base of the Android device in the middle of the dashboard and lock the fixing screw.
  13. At this time, check that the plug ends of the Android ISO harness, RCA harness, 4G antenna, and GPS antenna are on the display base.
  14. Connect the plugs of the Android ISO harness, 4G antenna, GPS antenna, and RCA harness to the back of the Android device.
  15. Put two metal clips on the base.
  16. Install the Android device on the base, and lock the screw behind it to fix the Android device.

6. Operating Instructions

After successful installation, follow these steps to operate your new touch screen system.

6.1. Initial Power On and System Check

  1. Turn on the ignition and power on the car.
  2. Check whether the Android device can be started normally.
  3. Verify that all functions are normal.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1. No Sound Issue

If you encounter a 'no sound' issue after installation, please refer to the following steps:

  1. Ensure the original car's Bluetooth is disconnected from your phone.
  2. Go to the car's settings and select the 'Auto Switch to AUX' feature.
  3. If there is still no sound, connect the AUX harness.
  4. Check the AB ground plugs and disconnect/connect them as needed.
  5. Check if there is a fiber optic cable in the OEM ISO harness; if so, adapt it to the PEMP ISO harness.
  6. Ensure the ISO harness is plugged in and not loose.
  7. Finally, check that the power cable and LVDS on the back of the machine are not loose; re-plug them if necessary.
