1. Introduction

Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and use to ensure proper functionality and to maximize your user experience. This unit is specifically designed for Chevrolet Chevy Camaro models manufactured between 2008 and 2015.

The system features an Android 13.0 operating system, 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM, and an 8-core CPU for smooth performance. It includes a 9-inch 1280x720 IPS touchscreen, Wireless CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS navigation, 5G WiFi connectivity, FM/RDS radio, DSP sound processing, and support for steering wheel controls and a backup camera.

3. Setup and Installation

This car radio is designed for plug-and-play installation in compatible Chevrolet Chevy Camaro models (2008-2015). Professional installation is recommended to ensure correct wiring and functionality.

3.1 Pre-Installation Steps

  • Disconnect the vehicle's battery to prevent electrical shorts.
  • Carefully remove the factory radio unit and trim panels.

3.2 Wiring Connections

Connect the provided cables to their respective ports on the car stereo and the vehicle's wiring harness. Ensure all connections are secure.

3.3 Post-Installation

  • Carefully reassemble the dashboard trim.
  • Reconnect the vehicle's battery.
  • Power on the unit and perform initial setup and testing.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto

Connect your smartphone wirelessly or via USB to access CarPlay (for iPhone) or Android Auto (for Android phones). This allows you to use navigation, make calls, listen to music, and send/receive messages directly from the car's touchscreen. Voice control (Siri or Google Assistant) is supported for hands-free operation.

4.2 Bluetooth 5.0 & FM/RDS Radio

Bluetooth 5.0: Pair your mobile device via Bluetooth for hands-free calling, wireless music streaming, and phonebook access. The built-in noise-canceling microphone and external microphone ensure clear communication.

FM/RDS Radio: Tune into FM radio stations (87.5-108 MHz) with RDS support. The unit can store up to 18 FM stations (FM1/FM2/FM3) and provides real-time radio, weather forecasts, and news broadcasts.

4.3 GPS Navigation & WiFi Connectivity

GPS Navigation: The unit supports both online and offline navigation. With the included GPS antenna, you can use pre-installed offline maps or download online maps (e.g., Google Maps, Waze) after connecting to WiFi.

WiFi Connectivity: The built-in 2.4GHz/5GHz dual-band WiFi module allows you to connect to internet hotspots, download applications, stream online videos, and access other internet services.

4.4 Split Screen & Mirror Link

Split Screen: Utilize the split-screen function to run two applications simultaneously, such as navigation and music playback.

Mirror Link: Mirror your iOS or Android smartphone screen onto the car stereo display, allowing you to view phone content directly on the larger screen.

4.5 DSP Sound Processing

The built-in Digital Sound Processor (DSP) with a 30-band equalizer allows for precise audio customization. Adjust sound settings such as Smart Bass, Balance, Emperor, Loudness, and Filter to achieve an optimal listening experience. Digital Time Delay and EQ Sound mode adjustments are also available.

4.6 Steering Wheel Control (SWC)

The unit supports steering wheel controls, allowing you to manage functions like volume, track changes, and radio stations directly from your vehicle's steering wheel buttons. This enhances driving safety by keeping your hands on the wheel.

4.7 Backup Camera

The system includes an AHD (Analog High Definition) backup camera with a 170-degree ultra-wide angle and waterproof design. When correctly wired, the stereo screen automatically displays the rear view image upon engaging reverse gear, aiding in safer parking and maneuvering.

4.8 User Interface (UI) Themes

The car stereo offers 63 customizable UI desktop themes. You can change the theme by long-pressing on a blank space on the homepage and selecting your preferred design.

5. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Sellrich car stereo, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the screen and exterior surfaces. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that may damage the finish.
  • Software Updates: Periodically check for available software updates to ensure you have the latest features and bug fixes. Updates can typically be performed via WiFi.
  • Environmental Conditions: Avoid exposing the unit to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight for prolonged periods, or excessive moisture.
  • Cable Connections: Periodically check all cable connections to ensure they are secure and free from corrosion.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your car stereo, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • No Power: Check all power connections and the vehicle's fuse box. Ensure the battery is properly connected.
  • No Sound: Verify speaker connections, volume levels, and audio source selection. Check DSP settings.
  • Touchscreen Unresponsive: Try restarting the unit. If the issue persists, a factory reset might be necessary (refer to system settings).
  • GPS Signal Loss: Ensure the GPS antenna is mounted in a location with a clear view of the sky and its connection is secure.
  • Bluetooth Pairing Issues: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on both the stereo and your mobile device. Delete previous pairings and try again.
  • CarPlay/Android Auto Not Connecting: Check USB cable connection (if wired) or WiFi/Bluetooth connection (if wireless). Ensure your phone's operating system is up to date.
  • Instrument Panel Language Issue: In some vehicle models, the instrument panel language may not change. This is a known compatibility characteristic and not a fault of the radio.
  • Steering Wheel Controls Not Working: Ensure the CANBUS decoder is correctly installed and configured in the system settings.
