4. Safety Information

5. Installation (Setup)

Follow these general steps for installing the ice maker assembly. Specific steps may vary slightly depending on your refrigerator model. Refer to your refrigerator's service manual for detailed instructions if available.

1. Disconnect Power: Unplug the refrigerator from the electrical outlet or turn off the circuit breaker supplying power to the refrigerator.
2. Access the Freezer Compartment: Open the freezer door and locate the existing ice maker or the area where it will be installed. You may need to remove the ice bucket and any shelves or bins to gain access.
3. Remove Old Ice Maker (if applicable):
   • Disconnect the electrical connector from the old ice maker.

8. Check Water Supply: Ensure the refrigerator's water supply line is connected and the water shut-off valve is open.

6. Operating Instructions

After installation, allow several hours for the freezer compartment to reach the correct temperature and for the ice maker to begin producing ice.

• Initial Ice Production: The first few batches of ice may be smaller or have an unusual taste. It is recommended to discard the first 2-3 batches of ice to flush the water lines.
• Ice Level Arm: The ice maker features an ice level arm (bail arm) that automatically stops ice production when the ice bin is full. Ensure this arm is not obstructed and can move freely.

• Turning Off the Ice Maker: To stop ice production, lift the ice level arm into the upright (OFF) position. Push it down to resume production.

• Cleaning the Ice Bin: Periodically remove and empty the ice bin. Wash it with mild soap and warm water, rinse thoroughly, and dry completely before returning it to the freezer.
