Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport if desired.
  2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the removable cooking pot and lid with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Wipe the exterior of the multi cooker base unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base unit in water.
  3. Placement: Place the multi cooker on a dry, level, heat-resistant surface, ensuring adequate ventilation around the unit. Keep it away from walls, curtains, and other heat-sensitive materials.
  4. Insert Cooking Pot: Place the clean, dry removable cooking pot securely into the multi cooker base unit.
  5. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet. The control panel display will illuminate.

Operating Instructions

Control Panel Overview

The control panel features a digital display and various function buttons:

  • Digital Display: Shows time, temperature, and cooking status.

Cooking Modes

  2. Adjust Settings (if needed):
    • Press the TEMP/TIMER button to toggle between adjusting temperature and time.
    • Use the '+' and '-' buttons to increase or decrease the value.
  3. Start Cooking: Press the START/STOP button to begin the cooking process. The display will show "PREHEATING" until the set temperature is reached, then switch to "COOKING" and begin the countdown timer.
  4. Pause/Stop: To pause or stop cooking at any time, press the START/STOP button. Press again to resume, or select a new mode.

Specific Mode Notes:

  • SLOW COOK: Ideal for tenderizing meats and simmering stews over extended periods.
  • SEAR SAUTE: Use for browning ingredients before slow cooking or for quick sautéing.
  • BRAISE: Combines searing with slow, moist cooking for rich flavors.
  • STIR FRY: High heat cooking for quick and even stir-frying.
  • MANUAL MODE: Provides full control over temperature and time settings for custom recipes.

Keep Warm Function

After most cooking programs complete, the unit may automatically switch to Keep Warm mode. You can also manually activate or deactivate this function by pressing the KEEP WARM button. This function maintains food at a serving temperature without further cooking.

Care and Maintenance

Proper care ensures the longevity and performance of your multi cooker.

  1. Always Unplug: Before cleaning, always unplug the multi cooker from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely.
  2. Removable Cooking Pot and Lid:
    • The Dura-Pan nonstick cooking pot and glass lid are dishwasher safe, but hand washing with warm, soapy water is recommended to prolong the life of the nonstick coating.

  3. Multi Cooker Base Unit:

    • Do NOT immerse the base unit in water or any other liquid.
    • Ensure the unit is completely dry before storing or next use.
  4. Storage: Store the multi cooker in a cool, dry place. Ensure the cooking pot and lid are clean and dry before storing.

Troubleshooting
