5.2 Starting Method

Follow these steps to start the engine:

  1. Fill the fuel tank with the correctly proportioned fuel mixture (refer to Safety Instructions for ratio).
  2. Press the fuel bubble under the carburetor repeatedly until it is full of fuel.
  3. Turn the off switch to the "I" (ON) position.
  4. Pull the starter rope firmly.
  5. Once a starting response is heard, close the damper and pull the starter rope again until the engine starts.

  • Air Filter Cleaning: Clean the sponge filter inside the air filter every 50 hours of operation. Clean more frequently in dusty environments. Use detergent, rinse with water, and dry thoroughly before re-installing.
  • Engine Cool-down: Before turning off the engine, allow it to idle for 1-2 minutes to facilitate natural heat dissipation.
  • Gearbox Lubrication: Lubricate the blade work head gearbox with grease every 20 hours of operation to reduce wear and improve life.
  • Shaft Maintenance: After each working cycle, withdraw the short flexible shaft and hard shaft inside the connecting disk, grease them, and then reassemble.
  • Engine Airflow: Frequently check the engine air inlet, cylinder heat sink, and high-pressure package. Remove any weeds or dust to ensure smooth airflow and prevent engine damage from overheating.

7. Storage

Proper storage is crucial for maintaining the equipment's condition, especially during periods of non-use.

  • Short-Term Storage (More than 10 days): If not using the machine for more than 10 days, drain all fuel from the gasoline tank and engine oil. Press the oil bubble to drain any remaining fuel from the carburetor to prevent engine damage from oil deterioration.
  • Long-Term Storage: Store the machine in a dry and ventilated place. Ensure the fuel tank is empty. Protect components like the high-pressure cap and spark plug from humidity, rust, and inversion to prevent starting issues.
  • Pre-Season Check: Before using an old machine after a long storage period, check the spark plug cap for rust. Allow the machine to idle for 10 minutes after starting to ensure all parts are functioning correctly.
