Setup

Initial Inspection

Upon unpacking your DELSEY PARIS ORDENER luggage, inspect it for any signs of damage that may have occurred during shipping. Ensure all components, including wheels, zippers, and the telescopic handle, are functioning correctly.

Setting the TSA Combination Lock

Your luggage comes with an integrated TSA combination lock. The initial factory setting is 0-0-0. To set your personal combination:

1. Ensure the lock is set to 0-0-0.
2. Locate the small reset button (usually a small hole) next to the dials. Use a pen or a pointed object to press and hold this button until you hear a click.
3. While holding the reset button, rotate the dials to your desired 3-digit combination. Choose a memorable number.
4. Release the reset button. Your new combination is now set. Scramble the dials to lock the zippers.
5. Test your new combination by entering it and ensuring the lock opens.

Important: Do not forget your combination, as there is no master key provided.

Operating Instructions

Using the Telescopic Handle

To extend the telescopic handle, press the button located on the top of the handle and pull upwards. To retract it, press the button again and push the handle downwards until it is fully nested. Ensure the handle is fully extended or retracted before moving the luggage.

Maneuvering with Spinner Wheels

Your DELSEY PARIS ORDENER luggage is equipped with 8 silent double spinner wheels, allowing for 360-degree rotation and effortless movement in any direction. You can push the luggage upright beside you or tilt it and pull it behind you.

Packing Your Luggage

Maintenance

Cleaning the Exterior

To clean the polypropylene exterior, wipe it with a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and water. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the surface. Dry thoroughly with a clean, dry cloth.

Wheel Care

Periodically check the wheels for any debris (e.g., hair, lint) that may hinder their smooth operation. Remove any obstructions carefully. If wheels become stiff, a small amount of silicone-based lubricant can be applied to the axle.

Zipper Maintenance

The SECURITECH zip is designed for durability. To ensure smooth operation, keep the zipper teeth clean and free of debris. If the zipper becomes stiff, a small amount of zipper lubricant or wax can be applied.

Troubleshooting

• Lock Not Opening: Ensure you are entering the correct 3-digit combination. If you have forgotten your combination, there is no master key. You may need to try common combinations or contact DELSEY PARIS support for assistance.
• Stiff Handle: If the telescopic handle is difficult to extend or retract, check for any obstructions in the mechanism. Ensure the release button is fully depressed. Avoid forcing the handle.
• Wheels Not Rolling Smoothly: Check for debris (hair, lint, dirt) caught in the wheels. Clean them thoroughly. If the issue persists, apply a small amount of silicone lubricant to the wheel axles.
• Zipper Sticking: Ensure the zipper teeth are aligned and free of fabric or debris. Apply a small amount of zipper lubricant or a graphite pencil to the teeth to improve smoothness.
