Important Safeguards

Setup

1. Initial Cleaning:

Before first use, remove all packing materials and wipe down the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth. The drip tray and water reservoir should be washed with warm, soapy water and rinsed thoroughly.

2. Filling the Water Reservoir:

The 66 oz. water reservoir can be positioned on either the side or the rear of the coffee maker to best suit your counter space. Remove the reservoir lid, fill the reservoir with fresh, filtered water up to the MAX fill line, and replace the lid. Ensure the reservoir is securely seated on the coffee maker.

3. Cleansing Brew:

Perform a cleansing brew to prime the coffee maker and remove any manufacturing residue. Place a large mug on the drip tray. Do not insert a K-Cup pod. Press the power button to turn on the brewer. Select a 12 oz. brew size. The brewer will dispense hot water. Discard the hot water. Your coffee maker is now ready for use.

Operating Instructions

Brewing with your Keurig K-Supreme is simple and intuitive.

1. Power On:

Press the power button located on the control panel to turn on the coffee maker. The lights will illuminate.

2. Insert K-Cup Pod:

Lift the handle to open the K-Cup pod holder. Place a K-Cup pod into the holder. Lower the handle completely to close the holder. Do not remove the foil lid from the K-Cup pod.

3. Select Brew Size:

Place a mug or travel mug on the drip tray. The K-Supreme offers multiple brew sizes: 6 oz., 8 oz., 10 oz., and 12 oz. Select your desired brew size from the control panel.

4. Customize Your Brew (Optional):

  • Strength: For a bolder cup, select the 'STRONG' button before choosing your brew size.
  • Over Ice: To brew over ice, fill a large cup with ice and place it on the drip tray. Insert your K-Cup pod and select the 'OVER ICE' button before choosing your brew size. This setting optimizes the brew for iced beverages.

5. Start Brewing:

Once your selections are made, the brew button will flash. Press the brew button to start the brewing process. The coffee maker will automatically dispense the selected amount of coffee.

6. After Brewing:

Once brewing is complete, lift the handle to remove the used K-Cup pod. Dispose of the pod. The coffee maker is ready for the next brew.

Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure your Keurig K-Supreme continues to perform at its best.

1. Cleaning the Drip Tray:

The drip tray can accumulate drips and spills. Remove the drip tray and wash it with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. The drip tray is also dishwasher safe (top rack only).

2. Cleaning the Exterior:

Wipe the exterior of your coffee maker with a damp, non-abrasive cloth. Do not immerse the coffee maker in water or other liquids.

3. Descaling:

Over time, calcium deposits (scale) can build up in your coffee maker, affecting performance. The 'DESCALE' indicator light will illuminate after approximately 250 brews to remind you to descale. Follow the descaling instructions provided in the full Keurig K-Supreme manual or on the Keurig website. A typical descaling solution involves using a descaling agent or white vinegar.

4. Water Filter (Optional):

If your model includes a water filter, replace it every 2 months or 60 tank refills for best results. Refer to the water filter instructions for proper installation and replacement.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Keurig K-Supreme, refer to the common problems and solutions below.
