1. Product Overview

This manual provides instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Generic PAR38 Dimmable LED Spot Light Bulbs. Please read this manual thoroughly before use and retain it for future reference.

The Generic PAR38 LED bulb is designed for versatile lighting applications, featuring adjustable brightness and color temperature settings. Each bulb includes switches for selecting between three brightness levels (90W, 120W, and 150W equivalents) and six color temperatures (2700K to 6500K).

2. Key Features

3. Setup and Installation

  1. Safety First: Before installing or replacing any light bulb, ensure the power to the fixture is turned off at the circuit breaker or fuse box.
  2. Unpack: Carefully remove the PAR38 LED bulb from its packaging.
  3. Select Settings (Pre-Installation): Before screwing the bulb into the fixture, use the small switches located on the side of the bulb to select your desired brightness (90W, 120W, or 150W equivalent) and color temperature (2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, 5000K, or 6500K).

  4. Install Bulb: Screw the bulb firmly into any standard E26 base light fixture. Do not overtighten.
  5. Restore Power: Once the bulb is securely installed, restore power to the fixture.

Note: The brightness and color temperature settings must be selected using the switches on the bulb itself before installation or by carefully removing the bulb from the fixture to adjust. These settings cannot be changed via a wall switch or dimmer.

4. Operating Instructions

Once installed and power is restored, the PAR38 LED bulb will operate according to the brightness and color temperature settings you selected using the switches on the bulb.

  • Turning On/Off: Use your standard wall switch or fixture switch to turn the light on or off.
  • Dimming: If connected to a compatible LED dimmer switch, you can adjust the light intensity using the dimmer control. Ensure your dimmer is specifically designed for LED bulbs to prevent flickering or damage.
  • Changing Settings: To change the brightness or color temperature, you must turn off the power to the fixture, carefully remove the bulb, adjust the switches on the bulb, and then reinstall it.

5. Maintenance

These LED bulbs require minimal maintenance. Follow these guidelines to ensure optimal performance and longevity:

  • Cleaning: Ensure the bulb is cool and the power is off before cleaning. Wipe the bulb with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Replacement: LED bulbs have a long lifespan. Replace the bulb only when it reaches the end of its operational life.
  • Storage: If storing bulbs, keep them in their original packaging in a cool, dry place.

6. Troubleshooting

8. Safety Information

  • Always turn off power at the circuit breaker before installation or maintenance.
  • Do not disassemble the bulb. There are no user-serviceable parts inside.
  • Do not use with standard incandescent dimmers; only use with LED compatible dimmers.
  • Not suitable for use in totally enclosed fixtures unless specified.
  • Avoid direct exposure to water if used outdoors, ensure fixture provides adequate protection.
  • Dispose of bulbs according to local regulations for electronic waste.
